My husband and I stayed at the Jamaica Best Western during U. S. Open Golf week. We were a short, pleasant walk from the subway and a 30 minute ride got us to Manhattan. A short subway ride the other direction took us to the Long Island Rail Road station and on to Beth Page for the tournament. The location... more

6/23/2009 Trip was 6/19/2009-6/22/2009 Let me put this in perspective, we live in out in the country in NW Illinois where the nearest neighbors are 1 mile away in any direction. We tend to be nervous in the “big city”. With that said, I tried to research where to stay and found a number of reviews on this hotel. I... more

Hello! I recently stayed in this hotel on a visit to New York with my husband. It is what we have come to expect of a Best Western; clean, comfortable, and the staff is very helpful. We got to explore NYC at non-NYC prices. The subway into Manhattan is very near to the hotel, plus the a cab to the... more

I have not stayed at this hotel, but am anticipating doing so in October of this year. I've read the reviews about this hotel - some good, some bad. One person said that it looked like it had been recently renovated and so i decided to contact the hotel directly. They said it has recently been renovated last month (April... more

I recently stayed at the Best Western Jamaica hotel. I was alarmed by some of the bad reviews but I have stayed at Best Western hotels while traveling in Europe and in the US and have generally had a good experience. This hotel looks like it has been recently renovated and was very clean! It is close to the airport... more

The first thing I noticed when I walked in the room was the smell....seriuosly it smelled like urine and it didn't go away the whole time we were there. Everyone in the room smelled it, it was pretty nauseating at times. Also the room was tiny. We had four people in it and we were extremely cramped for space. We... more

New York city, like Paris, has so many hotels to choose from, it can be a daunting experience for the traveler. I heard about this place from a friend who had stayed there previously. He recommended it because it was close enough to Manhattan (a short subway ride away on the "F" train) and reasonably priced for the city. My... more

The service at this hotel was great. All the front desk staff were great and friendly. They checked our bags happily and were surprised when we tipped. As far as value, it saved us about 300 a night compared to staying in Manhattan. To get to the city you just need to walk across the street about 5 minutes to... more

I just Moved out of the Comfort INN into another Hotel because of how horrible the experience was for me. First of all, it’s a $100 per night which you can get in any good hotel not motel. Second the rooms are Dirty and extremely small, you cannot fit any suitcases. Bathrooms are very dirty that I had to wear... more

Even if you don't pay too much because of its location, you can have BIG PROBLEMS at Comfort Inn Jamaica. As for me, my shower towel was dirty with yellow stains and plenty of black pubian hair. It was really disgusting. I had to dry myself in the heating... And when I was having my breakfast, the servant was really... more
