The only good thing about this hotel was the location, close to the downtown with fun shops and restaurants. The room had a musky smell and in desperate need of an update; there was a problem with the toilet, the maintenance came quickly. For the cost of the room should definitely have a mini fridge!!. Front desk very helpful and... More

Summer in Ithaca is a great time to get a hotel deal, if you bid. I wasn't looking for anything other than a clean, safe, inexpensive place to sleep in Ithaca. The Super 8 was booked up, so I tried a bid, and it was accepted. We drove in late at night, and were greeted warmly. The beds were very... More

The old rooms, not in the tower, are like a converted motel with a seedy hallway enclosing rooms from the alley and no windows to the outside. Terrible, old and small. It is amazing that they can charge the same for all rooms.

While the location of Hotel Ithaca is convenient and right in the quaint downtown area, it is very run-down. I am told the renovated Tower is better, but I was unaware of that when I made my reservation and the hotel staff wasn't willing to move me. She said, "Well that is what happens when you book online." There is... More

I have stayed here a half dozen times the last decade but not since September of 2013 when it was the Holiday Inn. Last week was my first stay at the re-christened Hotel Ithaca and I'll start by saying there is no difference with the old Holiday Inn and this joint except Hotel Ithaca charges more for rooms that haven't... On our first full day in the hotel (June 5) we left the room at 7:30 AM. When we returned at 2:30 PM our room had not been cleaned. So, the next day, we went to the front desk at 7:15 AM, complained about what had happened the previous day, stated that we were about to leave for the morning,... More

We booked 3 nights through Priceline( mid $90 per night) for a 3 star hotel. Hotel has a great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants When we checked in we were given a choice of a first floor room or a second floor with a caveat that there was no elevator. The clerk said that was all that was available.... My husband and I enjoyed a busy alumni weekend stay and really enjoyed lodging at the Hotel Ithaca. We found it to be relatively quiet for a downtown hotel and loved the convenient location in the center of downtown. In the morning we wake up early and love strolling to Gimme Coffee which is .4 mile walk. The renovation work... More

I had the opportunity in late May 2015 to visit Ithaca NY on business. The company put me up in the Hotel Ithaca and I was very pleased with both the location (central "downtown" Ithaca) and the and the hotel amenities were very good. It is an older hotel but most rooms have been upgraded and mine was just fine..... More
