Parts of this hotel are definitely dated - the whole ground floor could do with a facelift. On this trip, we were in a renovated room on the top floor of the tower and it was very nice and quiet. The room was easily nicer than what we've had at the Hilton, the only other hotel in downtown Ithaca.

This hotel was much better than the reviews state and better than I expected. We were in a renovated room in the "balcony area" of the hotel, just above the reception desk on the 2nd floor. The room had wood floors, a renovated bathroom with a fantastic shower. The linens and bedding were fine and the mattress was very comfortable.... More

After reading reviews here I was skeptical of this hotel. But this is the one that my conference group was recommending. So I booked a room. I was in the tower and the room had been updated and was really quite nice. The hardwood-looking laminate floors were gleaming, seemed really clean, and were surprisingly quiet. The bathroom was very nice... More

I was on a personal trip, but I absolutely needed to log into my office network in order to do about 45 minutes of work. Well, that took 2-1/2 hours, because I was unable to connect my work laptop to the hotel WiFi and had to walk to a local Starbucks after two calls to the front desk and another... More

I am an assiduous and easy going traveler and this is my first ever bad review. Today I went to the recently renamed Ithaca Hotel. Hilton and Statler were fully booked, and I saw on internet that Ithaca Hotel had some free rooms so I went directly to the front desk. I asked for a room, and after some time... More

If the Hilton and Statler are all booked up you may find yourself at Hotel Ithaca (formerly Holiday Inn). In this case do yourself a favor and ask for a room in the Tower. These rooms smell like smoke, have extremely uncomfortable bedding, and face a multistory parking lot with bright lights that are on all night. If, however, you... More

I couldn't imagine what to expect after reading the reviews for this hotel. A real mix of good and bad. I stayed for one night now I get it. First, all Ithaca hotels are overpriced so on to the next subject. The room was fine. Clean and comfortable. It was the location that was a bit creepy. Around back next... More

I was on a business trip to Cornell and stayed in this hotel. The location is good but not the best, one should pick a hotel that is closest to Ithaca Commons (commercial area with several great restaurants), this one is about 3-4 blocks from it. The main problem is that the room is so out dated. The shower water... More

Location is good, close to everything. It does have free parking lot and free wireless in the room. However, the room is pretty outdated. I heard there's new renovation going on, but we were put in the old part of the hotel. It's a two story building and is not much better than a 2 star motel. The bedding is... More

I've stayed here twice now, and each time has been great- The only reason I'm not giving it 4 stars is because of it's price- A little too expensive with $220 rooms, but the staff is great, helpful and inviting. Located right in the middle of town with 3 minute walks to bars, restaurants and shopping of the commons- no... More
