Comfortable beds. Adequate bathroom. Competent desk clerk. One of the better places we've stayed in Ithaca. No exercise room, minimal but adequate continental breakfast, overall needs updating BUT, best feature-CLEAN! Close to Cornell. We will return to Econo Lodge on Triphammer. more

Our room was clean and bright. It appears the room was remodeled within the past year. Nothing fancy, but all of the lights worked, carpet and bedding were clean. No musty smell. AC controls worked. Nothing upsets me more than walking into a hotel room to find lights that don't work or AC controls that are inoperable. The room also... more

We got this hotel on Expedia and found it to be just fine. Location is a little out of town but traffic and congestion in downtown Ithaca make being a bit away from all that a plus. It's not that a big of a town so a 5 or 10 min. drive is no big hassle. Also there is a... more

I stayed in this hotel while visiting Cornell University back in February. While not particularly impressed by the hotel, I must say that it's quite cheap compared to other places in Ithaca, NY, which suffers from a chronic shortage of hotel rooms! The front desk lady ws very nice and helpful, the room was ok (that is basic but clean),... more

I just spent 1 nite at the Econo Lodge in Ithaca while visiting my daughter at Cornell. It was my first stay at this hotel. I didn't know what to expect for such an inexpensive price. I was pleasantly surprised. Check-in was quick. My room was small, but clean. The bathroom was small, but clean. Everything in my room worked... more

This is the third time I have stayed at this property. If you are looking for a decent place to lay your head at a sometimes reasonable price then this should do just fine. Nothing fancy here just he basics,no frills .Hotel needs some TLC but it will get you through the night. The story with Ithaca is there are... more

I've stayed here a few times. In the beginning it was a good value - a clean, no frills room for a decent price. Not so any more. They are very opportunistic with their pricing. On my last two night stay my rate went from $96 to $167 due to a NASCAR event in Watkins Glen. They have charged up... more

As far as budget motels go, this one was great. Although it's across the parking lot from a strip mall, we liked the fact that after cruising around downtown/Cornell area, we could park the car at the hotel and walk to a grocery store for snacks/beer. There's also a Pizza Hut and Friendly's that you can walk to, plus more... more

My wife and I stayed here for one night. The room was very cold when we checked in but warmed up quickly once the heating unit was turned on. Be advised that the heating unit and the AC are one and the same, so don't waste time looking for a wall thermostat. The room was quite small. The bed was... more

We stayed at Econo Lodge for 4 nights and had no major problems. This hotel was MUCH cheaper than most others in Ithaca, but it was perfectly adequate and very easy to locate at a major highway intersection. Although the immediate environment in the parking lot is uninspiring, it IS convenient (if you have a car) -- the Ithaca mall... more
