This hotel is in the middle of Cornell University's beautiful campus. High floor rooms have AMAZING lake views. The restaurant is excellent. The front desk staff are Cornell students... Very friendly, service-minded and knowledgeable. I travel a lot, all over the world, and this is one of the nicest hotels I have been to anywhere.

I arrived at 10:30 preparing for a one night stay that involved some intense work. I was leaving very early the next morning, so being able to check in early was very important. The staff stepped up. And the room was sublime. With a beautiful new bathroom, and a gorgeous view of a most magnificent campus. This is an extraordinary... More

Located right on campus, the hotel is staffed with student employees who are committed to customer service. We were taking advantage of a "student experience package" and we're given a room with a fabulous view to enhance the experience. Spacious comfortable room with nice amenities - bathrobe, umbrella, etc. Great room service. What a pleasant stay!

Perfect location to get a sense of the campus. Run by the students, so don't expect perfection in terms of service, but it was very good. Rooms were comfortable and well-appointed. Gym was very small. Only issue we had was with the air conditioning and keeping temperature comfortable.

Literally located right in the heart of Cornell's campus, this is the best location for visiting the university! Campus tours start a very short walk from the hotel. Rooms are very nice, spacious, and well appointed. IPhone 5/6 dock in room. Very clean. Great amenities for a small hotel! Had a great stay and we are VERY PICKY!

We stayed here when we went to Ithaca for my husband's reunion at Cornell. The staff (mostly students) were very friendly and helpful, and especially sweet to our daughter. The rooms were very comfortable and bright and clean. The location cannot be beat. When he went off to meet with people, our daughter and I could walk around the campus... More

Staying at the Statler should be a first class experience, given its location and the fact it's run by one of the best universities in the country. We found the service patchy and inconsistent, from disinterest to super friendly. The latter was almost entirely attributable to the valet and concierge staff, who went out of their way to help and... More

Let's face it, if you visit Cornell, the Statler is the place to stay. It is run by the School of Hotel Management and is very nice and convenient to everything on campus. But there is no free lunch and it is very very pricey as we paid nearly $650 for two night and $45.00 @ person for Mother's Day... More

I spent the weekend at the Statler Hotel as I had business in Cortland and wanted to tour the Cornell campus. The hotel is very much in the middle of the campus and I was very lucky to be there in early spring when all the trees were sprouting their baby leaves and flowers were blooming. The room was very...
