We spent 3 nights at Grayhaven motel (Aug 2-5 2015). The location, south of Ithaca, is convenient to both Buttermilk Falls and Treman State Parks and by taking 13A cutoff, Taughannock Falls can be reached avoiding most of Ithaca proper. Our room was in the "Treman Lodge" which is back from Rt 13, but traffic can still be heard, most... More

We went for one night to this motel. Although the motel looks really attractive from the outside, the experience was horrible! The owner seems to hate kids and doesn't hide it!! Very unpleasant individual. The rooms were smelly and clearly overpriced for the quality one receives. A place to avoid!

We have a kids play area with swings and an area for playing outdoor games such as wiffle ball, and frisbee. Some accommodations have kitchens adjacent. Families can have a wonderful time both at Grayhaven and in the Ithaca surrounding area. We also have a fenced area for your family's dog to get a little exercise and relieve itself. People... More

I grew up in the area and have driven by the Grayhaven and really never gave it a second glance. This little place is a nice little gem in the sea of corporate owned hotel/motel chains. This is a second genertion family owned motel. The decor is very homey and comfortable. We had arrived early in town for a long... More

The walls are paper thin. I could hear every single word the couple next door said. and they weren't yelling/being loud. just normal talking/TV (they were watching a documentary about the mafia... until 3 am.). I could also hear cars driving by, people outside, etc. the internet is slow and sporadic at best. There was also a slight smell... dog... More

Was traveling on a budget for a wedding in town and all other hotels were booked. Those who weren't were way too expensive so decided to book this place. The apartment was spacious and clean but the housekeeping probably forgot to clean it up one of the days during our stay because the bed was not even made. Besides that,... More

For a "Courts" type motel we found this place to be pretty nice. They also had availability when almost everything else in Ithaca was booked. Rooms are clean and comfortable and we found the owner and other staff friendly and helpful. At least in our room, towards the back of the row (Room 20) it was nice and quiet, removed... More

My husband and I stayed at the Grayhaven motel for 2 nights in August. We were there for a wedding at Robert Treman park, the location was fabulous....the stay was not! The grounds looked nice as we drove up but as you enter the office you immediately notice an odor...maybe it is older, maybe it is the dogs? The woman... More

This is a hotel which I' d pay 80 dollars to stay, at most. It cost 125 plus taxes. Looking from the road, it's kind of cute, but that's pretty much it. The room is super basic and it STINKS of cheap cleaning products. It gave me a headache and I could hardly get any sleep. I have to say,... More

It´s old but it's very clean. Mattresses are not that comfortable but it's not a noisy neiberhood. But if you travel with your dog, you just hit the jackpot! They are very dog friendly and best of all that fenced yard is sooooo useful! That if worth a little less luxury.
