My husband and I stayed with our dog, Lena, in the Tower Cottage while visiting our son, who is a student in Ithaca. The home is a work of art. The materials are beautiful - including a stone staircase and sink. We were extremely comfortable - think towels, great places to sit and walk inside and outside. We love the... More

Our stay in the Cottage at The Stone Quarry House was nothing short of delightful. The property is wonderful, the accommodations terrific, and the Innkeeper Nancy, lovely. My one regret is that our stay in Ithaca was for a college graduation. We visited Ithaca for four years staying in mediocre hotels until we discovered the Stone Quarry House.

I was tempted to NOT post a review for our stay at the Stone Quarry because I didn't want more people to know about this gem. My wife and I were looking for a little get away for our anniversary. Little did we know that our stay in the Stone Quarry Lodge would be the highlight of our weekend. From... More

We highly recommend Stone Quarry house for mature couples who want to visit Ithaca. We just returned from a 4 day stay there to attend our son and daughter-in-law's MBA graduations from Cornell. The property is close enough to campus to be very convenient, yet far enough away to enjoy the beautiful countryside near town. The grounds are beautiful, with... More

We stayed in the apartment over the garage for six nights in July 2012. The apartment is very private and spacious. The bedroom has windows on three sides, and the night breezes were heavenly. There were some fireflies at the windows one night so we had our very own fireworks display! We appreciated all of the amenities, including the nice... More

This is a lovely apartment. Stayed here in fall 2011. We booked 2 months ahead for a 3 night Feb'12 stay only to have our confirmed status (owner cashed our full payment check) cancelled as a Jan-Apr tenant became available, thus over our dates. We were bumped! Don't think much of owner's ethics. Just BEWARE!

We regret the guest's disappointment. It is our policy to offer the first choice of location to long term guests, but we make every effort to offer an equally comfortable alternative when (rarely) it is necessary. This guest was 'bumped' to the stone cottage, an equally comfortable private lodging on the same property. With a wood-burning fireplace, Jacuzzi, TempurPedic king-size... More

I stayed in the beautiful stone cottage during the first week in August and I enjoyed my stay sooo much. I was supposed to stay with my boyfriend, but things changed and I ended up staying alone and it was some much needed r and r after a very hectic and difficult past couple of months. The grounds are beautiful... More

We stayed with Nancy and Buzz in the apartment at the Stone Quarry House for a 3-night fall weekend from 9/29/11 through 10/2/11. I am a hotel school alum and consider myself a tough critic. We had four people (wife, three-year old, and best friend from college), and we were pushing the limits of this one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment. Nonetheless, we... More

My husband and I drove from Ontario Canada and spent 6 days in the apartment to explore the Finger Lake area. We truly enjoyed our stay. Nancy and Buzz were very accommodating and even let us keep our motorbike in their garage as it appeared that there could be rain during our stay. The grounds are beautiful and accommodated a... Stone Quarry House offers luxurious solar-powered eco-friendly lodging. We are traveling through the world a lot, but this cottage is our favorite so far. We loved the kindness of Nancy, who made us unforgettable waffles. Fresh air, very nice neighbourhood. I hope we will come back someday.
