The previous reviews nicely sum up the Embassy Inn Motel. It's a very basic but clean and comfortable family motel that is well run and convenient to Cornell's campus. It's particularly close to the Cornell Plantations and North Campus. It will also be one of the least expensive options when staying in Ithaca (although it's relatively pricey for what you... More

This motel is not near any major attractions or on major interstates, so the rates are reasonable even in summer. We were stopping just overnight, arriving late and leaving early, so all we wanted was a comfortable and clean room, and the Embassy Inn was this exactly. The staff were friendly both when we checked in and when we left... More

We booked last minute for an en route stop, found the room as expected for this category of hotel, very basic but spotless. Breakfast includes cereals, fruit (bananas), selection of packaged pastries, tea, coffee ampnd there is a cappuccino machine.

This is a budget motel in a city of high end accommodations. I found it appealing on first sight. We were able to check in at 2:30. Our room was small but spotless. We had plenty of room for our things. One really nice feature was the coating on the window in the front of our room which made seeing... More

Older motel, but rooms up-dated and clean. Price was high ($110/night). Rooms are small and more like $60 would have been fair. However next place was $239 due to parents weekend at University. I guess the price goes up when there are events in the area. In-wall heater was very noisy and it was a newer unit. Had to turn... More

This is a small family-run motel. It is an older property, but appears to have been updated relatively recently, and, given that the owners actually live on the property, seems to be well-cared for (the parking lot was recently resurfaced, etc.). Some reviews have been critical about the price (we paid $99/night plus tax for 1 queen bed), but this... More

Decided at the last minute to spend a weekend in Ithaca. Most of the big hotels were booked and the others were very expensive so based on the reviews I booked this one. We paid $136 for this motel which was I would say was on the higher side for this motel. However, the rooms were decent and bathroom was... More

Ithaca is a pricy place to stay, so we stayed here trying to be frugal. This motel is one you might be able to tolerate, but not enjoy. Price was $95 per night before tax. If you can afford better, you'll probably appreciate spending more for a better place. On the positives: place is very close drive to Cornell, is... More

Everyone may have different expectations of a motel costing over $100 (including tax). This place smells, the rooms are in disrepair and filled with mold. Opening the windows is precluded because the window screens have large holes for the insects to stream in at night. The breakfast area doesn't have anyplace to sit. The milk offered for breakfast is in... More

A regular budget motel, basic furniture, small bathroom, basic construction. But everything works, everything clean, owner is helpful. Breakfast doesn't reach the basic level, but it is there. Ithaca is expensive, as others say, and you are hit with an extra tax for their tourism development.... better to stay in Cortland. Be careful in reserving on the EmbassyInn site: the... More
