The hotel was in need of some serious updates and they did perform a remodel recently. The bed, furniture and linens are all new. The room is actually pretty well designed. The TV was left off the upgrade list, too bad as that would be an easy change. Its an old Magnavox 24" tube tv. My problems have always been... more

All non smoking is a plus. It looks like they recently added a Precor fitness room. There are two treadmills, an eliptical, and an assortment of dumbells. Many places have fitness rooms but they are often in poor condition. It was nice to use one that was well maintained. I was able to find most services within a 15 minute... more

We flew into MacArthur airport and stayed one night here. We loved this hotel, the room was spacious and oh so very clean, plus they have this bedding, they're called Cloud 9, advertised like sleeping on a cloud and that's exactly what it felt like. The only negative about it, being short, I had to kind of jump up to... more

This hotel might look pretty regular but it feels exceptional! The beds are up to the usual Hampton Inn standards and ridiculously comfortable after a long day of meetings. The rooms are very clean and spacious. All of the rooms are decorated to inspire a very homey feel right down to the lap desk perched at the corner of your... more

The name of the property is appropriate - because it is definitely on an island. Plopped into the middle of LIE and Veterans Highway, the property has no attached hotel or bar and no adjacent businesses. I was in town for a conference for two days at a different location and I did not get a car (corporate travel said... more

Our non-smoking room smelled of smoke when we arrived, and the staff would not change our room because they said they were completely full. They offered to "Fabreeze" the room, but that seemed a little silly. The smell wasn't too bad, but it would have been nice for them to have done something more or offered a discount. The rooms... more

We just spent five nights in this hotel while attending a wedding. The location is easy to access, right off Long Island Expressway. While the immediate area is busy roads, you can reach many calmer areas easily. We did not feel unsafe. The hotel lobby and breakfast area are clean and attractive. Our room was well appointed, but on the... more

We stayed here one night in June, 2007. We booked a n/s room, with two queen beds. When we checked in, we were given our room and the room smelled of smoke. There were no more n/s rooms available with 2 beds, so they tried to give us a room with one bed (we were 2 adults and 2 kids).... more
