This place was recommended to us by Jamie at the marina motel where we stayed. My boyfriend and I went there for a night out on my birthday after our dinner. Having never been to inlet...only driven through it...I was shocked how well we were treated by staff and regulars. They had a band playing good music...bartender very friendly who... More

Thanks to Dan, a naturally cheerful and exuberant young man who seems to know every inch of the Inn, my wife and I accepted Dan's recommendation of staying in the coolest place ever: one of Woods Inn's Adirondack tents for our anniversary! Great fun - ask for the tent with the private pine paneled bathroom. And having a restaurant on... More

My husband and I spent 4 nights at The Woods Inn, August 1st thru the 4th, 2014. We were very pleased with our stay. They have one of the best spots to sit and view the beautiful lake. the accomodations are rustic, as you would expect in the Adirondacks. The rooms are large and so is the bathroom. One of the... I was very pleased to find 2 room accommodations at the Woods Inn for a last minute family get away. the location is perfect--right on Fourth Lake, beautiful view, friendly staff, a short walk to town. However, the service was definitely lacking. One of the rooms had a stale odor. We requested a cot, which was delivered without sheets. After... More

For the third year, our family went to Woods Inn for a Bea Happy Weekend. Over 50 of us stayed. Our stay was fabulous! The innkeepers accommodated us in every way and made our reunion one filled with memories, great food, and wonderful times. We are so looking forward to next year's weekend at the Woods Inn!

The Fulton lake chain gem has been lovingly restored by the current owners and have built an amazing experience. Even though the property have changed hands, Atmosphere and attention to detail are at an all time high. The restaurant is well worth spending time overlooking the lake and enjoying the sunsets, while eating one of the best meals that I... More

If cozy, rustic accommodations are what you are looking for nestled in the heart of the Central Adirondack Region, then look no further than the Woods Inn located in Inlet, New York. Having just sold our home on Fourth Lake, we needed a place to hang our hats while continuing our lifelong tradition of yearly trips to the lake and... More

We just spent an incredible 4th of July weekend at The Woods Inn and it was spectacular. I went with my two children (age 13 and 12) and my parents. My parents stayed in the handicap accessible room which was perfect! The hospitality is terrific. It is a gorgeous setting and views are spectacular. It is a simple walk into... More

If you are looking for a pristine, modern, 5 star luxury, totally lacking in soul, chain hotel, don't choose the Woods Inn. If, on the other hand, you are delighted, rather than turned off, by quirkiness, you will love it. We were slightly disappointed to be told, on arrival, that breakfast would not be available, as we were one week... More

We just got back from a three night stay in the guide tent which is steps from Fourth Lake. The guide tents here are as close to "camping" as I will ever get with still providing the Adirondack experience. Where else can you rent a tent with a queen size bed and private bathhouse? And being steps away from the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A restored turn of the century inn with tavern and restaurant. Situated on Fourth Lake in Inlet with amazing Adirondack views. This is an award - winning historic property we designed to be a true Adirondack experience. The decor is meant to be campy shabby - chic. While we have added the modern conveniences that we think were lacking in the past century, we have tried to create a less stressful mountain environment that brings back another time. ... more   less
