We spent a wonderful weekend in June and found everything to be just right. The outdoor pool had recently warmed to a level of 'acceptability' - the accommodations were lovely- and the breakfast delicious. Stephania couldn't have been more helpful. While the Inn is older it is extremely well cared for and the afternoon teas on the weekend should not be... More

We stayed there for Columbus Day weekend with family and friends As always we were treated like royalty Stefania is a great hostess and is always there for you whatever you need She runs her B & B like her house and I fell like it is my home away from home !!! She is always so welcoming and adds... More

Stayed here for two nights for our anniversary. The breakfast was good (pancakes one day, french toast the other) and the service was nice. The room was pleasant and clean... nothing to complain about there. (The picture showcasing the inn is the one we stayed in.) What was really great was the check-in process. We were running late and we... More

Stayed here for one night for my husbands birthday celebration. Another guest put it perfectly - the inn is cozy but in need of TLC! We were suppose to stay in the cabin, but it was too hot so we were put in a room upstairs with AC (prefer queen bed, got a double-AC meant more than the size of... More

We recently stayed here to attend Tap NY at Hunter. Best way I can describe The Inn is cozy but generally is in a need of a bit of TLC. We did not get a very welcoming feeling when we checked in or throughout the stay. Our room (6) was of average size and comfortable. The bathroom ceiling was in... More

Had a wonderful weekend stay at the Washington Irving inn mid-February. Thoroughly enjoyed the staff, the lovely breakfast in the morning and the very cute and cozy room. Perfect place to stay for a weekend of skiing and great restaurant options nearby. Especially loved the tea time and homemade cookies in the afternoon. The host went the extra mile when... More

It is a cozy place with a very generous innkeeper. Rooms are decorated with love and very clean. The breakfast is customized and prepared with fresh ingredients. We loved the evening at the bar and all the stories we have shared with Stephanie. Love this place!

We stayed here for labor day weekend as all other places in the area were booked up. We had room 14 which was a sweet wood paneled turret room. Small yet comfortable, warm and cozy and very clean. The bathroom was spotless with fluffy towels and the room had a flat screen TV with many channels. Breakfast, as others have... More

We booked a last minute getaway to the Catskills at the Washington Irving Inn. From my first phonecall, the Innkeeper, Stephania was a delight! We were looking for a pet friendly inn to bring our Newfoundland dog Kasper. There was no additional pet fee and there were special dog friendly rooms in "the cottage" at the back of the inn.... Was here in spring for a beer festival. Kind of European flavor at this inn. Reminded me of my childhood since everything is of the era before tv. The dining room is charming and some good views from there. The owner is very pleasant and the outside porch is a good place to meet other guests.
