Have been a guest at the Hunter Inn for any years now. My wife's family just celebrated their 81st annual reunion in Hunter, and this is the place we come to the evening before, as it is very close to the reunion site at the base of Hunter Mt. The hotel is very spacious and well kept. The rooms are large... More

Have never been to Hunter Inn in Hunter NY, but I booked a room off their website for 1night/2adults and the price came up $140.40 with tax. Received a phone call from Hunter Inn stating they didn't know how I even got into book a room as the owners had not given them the prices yet for August 16 2014... More

The Hunter Inn was a perfect base for a weekend ski/snowboard getaway. The room was comfortable and clean; it only lacked updating. We stayed on the mountain view side on the first floor, which I would try to get again. There is a door to a little patio outside there, and you can park right there making it easy to... More

After staying at many of the other lodging options at Hunter Mtn, I decided to try the Hunter Inn and It was by far the best hotel of them all. Very clean rooms, and the mountain side rooms have amazing views of the mountains. The staff was very helpful and the fireplace and bar lounge was very cozy. Rooms are... More

I arrived at Hunter Inn on Friday morning and was able to change and store my bags at the hotel before hitting the slopes. Once I returned I checked in and went to the room. I had a ground floor mountain view room which was slightly cold but certainly not uncomfortable. It was large, clean had everything that was needed... More

I've stayed at this place before with my wife in one of their loft units where the heat on the 2nd floor was very hot and the first floor cold, no matter how high you turn up the thermostat was very cold. Even though I experienced this issue, I decided to try one more time since the location is so... More

Last August I paid a fortune to stay at the Hunter Inn. It looked really nice on the website and it was close to the mountain. I coughed up almost 600 bucks for 2 nights. Well, allow me to enlighten any future guests. First of all, they have a bar, as advertised. However, the bar is CLOSED during the summer.... More

I disagree with the previous reviewer. Yes, one morning they did run out of coffee but it was replenished quickly. Yes, the rooms are older but what do you expect. We stayed Friday and Saturday, August 9 and 10. We were there again for the German Alps festival. We again enjoyed the stay at the inn and the festival. We... More

Two years in a row. Never enough coffee in the morning for guests, you have to wait around until someone sows up. The receptionist does not do well with complaints and is not sympathetic. The rooms are a horror, rugs are stain and smell musky, the air conditioner is so old that is does not blow cold air, the beds... More

Our stays at the Hunter in have always coincided with Memorial Services at the Latvian Memorial Cemetery...the first time when my mother passed away; this time at my father's passing. Each stay has been with family from Boston, Colorado, California. The Inn is charming, the staff gracious and helpful...some whom we have known since our first visit! The Inn is... More
