Our daughters wedding was held at Scribner Hollow and all I can say is from the first meeting with Kate and Guy until the day after the wedding we could not have asked for more attentive service. The Bride and Groom had the wedding of their dreams.! Everything was picture perfect. Our guests commented on how well they were treated,... more

I called aprox 1 hour before reaching the Hunter area and was told that yes, they had a room available. Yeah! NOT! Got there and the room they wanted to charge me $220- for was vile! Dirty, papertowels wadded up in a dorm size fridge, ricketty deck off the room with no security, the final straw was the Fire door... more

I stayed at Scribner Hollow two years ago, but remember it like it was yesterday. My husband and I wound up there because we booked a stay at Villa Vosilla (another resort) - and needed to get away from there immediately (see my review on Villa Vosilla if you're curious). In any case, Scribner was a G*d-send for us, because... more

We arrived and went straight to our room which had been upgraded. No other guests were there. First impression was of the room was "interesting". I have never been to a (ski area). I didn't know if the decor was supposed to be a mountainy look, so the decor threw me back a little it just seem old. The bathroom... more

We were treated like friends, not strangers, during our stay. This is a classic mountain lodge. The view of the mountains was awesome. The suite was very cozy and well maintained by the staff. Also, there was always enough wood for the fireplace. The entire staff from the front desk, through the lounge and into the restaurant was courteous and... more

The owners and staff treated us like relatives that we've known for many years. They were willing to go out of their way to make sure that we had a most pleasant weekend. The room was great and the view was amazing. The food was delicious, gourmet style - from breakfast to dinner. The indoor pool and sauna felt like... more

It's laughable that this hotel is described as "deluxe." After traveling almost 4 hours from NYC, we were shocked to find that accommodations were rickety, stained and cheap. The most amazing attribute of this place is its website-- a marvel of marketing bull. Keep in mind that pictures are worth a thousand words and you will be unable to find... more

My husband and I spent 3 night here for our 3rd wedding anniversary and it was the perfect getaway. The staff were extremely nice and were very eager to accomodate all of our needs. The room was beautiful with a view to die for. The restaurant was absolutely amazing, the service outstanding and the food was incredible. Their steak and... more
