After a busy business trip in Manhattan this was a great location to deflate from the work life that was different for a couple of days. Scribner Hollow Lodge was recommended by a business associate. They definitely succeeded in achieving my every expectation to the fullest. The staff was always friendly and courteous as they handled all my needs. The... More

My family checked in for 1 night. The room for 2 double beds cost $324.50. Their website states that it has been featured in a ton of magazines, maybe 20 years ago. The room was very dirty, mold in the shower, floor stained, light bulbs that didn't work, railing on our room balcony was completely rusted off leaving a huge... More

We were heading to this area for an anniversary getaway, and after carefully researching options in the Woodstock NY area, booked the Scribner Hollow Lodge. Since it was a special getaway, we made the reservations 3 months in advance. 3 weeks prior to our stay, we received a phone call canceling. While I did not ask for details, they simply... More

It was my first time in Hunter, NY. I stayed there between 23rd and 25th May 2014. The hotel has its charms on the spectecular view of the skiing mountain which you can see it from the hotel rooms and the different room styles which staff kindly showed me around. Those are two storey or loft style where the bed... More

We, family of 5(3kids under 11) decided to get back to nature in the Catskill Mountains. We stayed at the Scriber Hollow Lodge and had a great time. The staff was as great as the scenery. They were very helpful and attentive to our needs. Our room was clean and the food was fantastic. I just wish we had more... More

This place was possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We arrived late at night and the only staff member there had absolutely no idea who we were even though we had already made a reservation. After about twenty minutes of him trying to book a room for us, he showed us to our room. We unpacked and... More

I spent a long weekend with 5 colleagues from a law firm in NYC. Our rooms were fine. The Staff was attentive and courteous. The food was great comparable to many renowned NYC restaurants. The grotto was a great space to relax with a cocktail. We made friends with several other guests at the bar in front of a huge... More

Impromptu ski trip with my boyfriend, his son and his son's friend. Stood Saturday to Monday January 18th-20th. Two hours from NYC/NJ beautiful drive up. Perfect location to Hunter Mountain, plenty of parking and a cozy warm welcome upon entering. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They have a small bar with surrounding couches, T.V. and a fireplace that... More

We had a very restful and comfortable stay at the Lodge. We went with our baby for a family getaway. There are plenty of great outdoors things to do in Hunter but for us the best part was the incredible food and service at the Lodge's restaurant. Top notch! Guy and the rest of the family really do everything to... More

We just returned from a two day stay at Scribner Hollow Lodge and were very satisfied with our overall experience. If you want t standardized hotel stay a la Holiday Inn or Howard Johnson's this may not be the place for you but if you seek a bit of character and personality then this more then fits the bill.
