The hotel is within 1 mile distance from Hunter mountain skiing resort. The large parking lot is on-site. This hotel is quite an expensive one - $400 room per night for a family of 3 with a full board (during Presidential weekend). The room, by itself was not bad, but it's quite small for 3 and definitely is not worth... More

We were looking forward to the retro charm of this place but when we checked in we were very disappointed. Electrical outlets in weird places that don't look safe, a fireplace that I would worry would burn down the building, a circular staircase with very wide railing gaps to a loft that is unsafe for small children. My toddlers tried... More

Dear Sir, Thank you for posting your very candid review. Without a doubt, I would not recommend one of our smaller duplexes (there are only two rooms in the hotel configured as you described with a spiral staircase) for a family with two small children. Scribner Hollow has rooms that are perfect for a couple's cozy getaway, as well as... More

Stayed here because we had two day passes to Hunter and didn't want to make the 2.5 hour commute back to the city inbetween. The fireplaces and common areas with couches and tables were cute and reminded me of a log cabin, so points for the decor looking...rustic. Dinner was fine - limited selection, basically no greens on the menu... More

The room was nice having high ceilings, rustic stone and nice fireplace. Billed as mountain view but not Hunter, (ask for the front of the Hotel). Reasonable in cost. Clean. It was quiet. Bed was not great... bouncy/springy. Restaurant was excellent in both food quality and service. The two people I interacted with, (Melissa at front desk was very attentive... More

I have been coming to Scribner Hollow Lodge for many years now and have enjoyed every moment of my stay each time I visit. The staff is always extremely helpful and accommodating. The food is to die for and the wine selection is top notch. I have stayed a the hotel for both business and family occasions during different times... More

We spent the weekend at Scribner Holllow for Octoberfest. Our third time at this resort. The Hotel is in a perfect Location close to everything. The staff is always friendly and helpful when you need something or have questions. The food is excellent as always and they have a full bar lounge area. After a long day at the mountain... More

Arrived 930 at Scribner Hollow Lodge was just as nice as I had remembered it from years ago. After settling in our room... More

We stayed on a whim for a weekend and did not regret it. The staff were kind and helpful, the management was excellent. We took our two girls (age 10 and 7) who also had a ball. The pool area, a.k.a "the Grotto) was like something out of the 1960's (I mean this in every good way possible). Totally something... More
