We stayed in the 2 rm suite out back for the weekend. It is very basic but clean and rooms are huge. The bathroom was up to date, clean newer white towels and a basket w/soap/shampoo/ toothpaste/deodorant. The back 2 bed bedroom had basic shelving above the beds for lots of storage. The carpet had a couple stains but nothing... More

I've stayed at the Forester lodge several times over the past 10 years or so, usually when I'm skiing at Hunter mountain, because it's right across the street and there's a spectacular view of the mountain from the rooms- but only in the front building. We stayed at the Forester lodge last night during an overnight ski trip at Hunter... More

Be sure to avoid unit 5. It did not get warm until 4a.m. I was so cold I wore my fleece and long johns in bed. The floor never warmed up. The owner left the office closed for more than an hour knowing we were coming to check in. She had no sense of service.

We went there. Saw the place, checked the room and we didn't come back, so I lost my $ 85 plus tax . But who s going to stay there ? Don't go to this place . It was my fault . I didn't pay attention to all the bad comments .

We stayed here for Mountain Jam. The location is within walking distance to the ski area. Not all rooms have a balcony so don't be surprised when you get a room in the white building in the back with a view of the parking lot. Our bed were made for one person since it was like sleeping in a hole.... More

I have stayed in the Catskill Mountain region almost every year since I was a child - one thing I have learned during my stays is that the majority of the hotels/motels in the area are family owned, "mom and pop" types of places. These are not luxury hotels - chances are, if you're staying in the area you'll be... More

The only thing positive I can say about this place is that it is a very good location if you are skiing Hunter Mountain. We were charged $120.00 a night for this motel and that is WAY too much for this motel.

PLEASE do yourself a favor and stay away from the Forester Motor Lodge. My husband and I just attended the German Alps festival at Hunter Mountain. Looking for a place to stay online everything was booked. We came across Forester website and figured it couldn't be that bad, we weren't expecting much but holy cow it was disgusting. They definitely... More

We stayed here as it was pretty close to Windham Mountain, and we didn't feel like spending a fortune on a hotel. We weren't expecting much from this place, but based off of some of the reviews and the photos on the motel's website, we were expecting a little bit more than what we got. And seeing as how they...
