This was my first time staying at a b&b, and it was a great experience. The b&b is conveniently located near Warren street, which has restaurants, antique shops, furniture shops, spas, etc. Barry was very accommodating. I had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms. I originally requested a room with a tub. The room was under construction, so... More

Barry has taken his "city chic" (he is originally from the West Village, NYC) and turned it "country cool." Hudson City B&B is eclectic, clean, comfortable and classy (without being pretentious.) The bedrooms have high quality sheets, the living room is filled with super comfy overstuffed furniture and interesting books, and there is a big round beautifully decorated dining table... More

Barry hits just the right note between being welcoming and giving his guests the space they need! And his two handsome sons even provided entertainment and added to the family atmosphere. The rooms and baths are clean and well-stocked.....the space is quiet, historic, and very close to the charming downtown. And of course the breakfasts are amazing - with great... More

If you ever need a place to stay in Hudson, Barry's is the place. The Hudson City B & B is a beautiful, historic house: clean, nice rooms, you get you're own bathroom/shower, and the host Barry is the best host you could ever have! He is very considerate and accommodating of his guests, genuinely wants to make sure that... More

Barry is a delightful innkeeper. He is gracious, solicitous to just the right degree, and very helpful with recommendations for attractions and restaurants. The breakfasts he serves are delicious and beautifully presented. My group of friends and I totally enjoyed our stay. The house is historic and dates to 1865. She shows signs of age - as she should. If... More

If you are looking for a place that is pristine, perfectly neat, with manicured gardens, this is not the place. However, the proprietor, Barry, more than makes up for it with his gentle, kind personality and helpfulness. And as everyone has commented, his waffles and omelettes are fantastic. Our room was very large (and yes, no door between bedroom and... More

Just finished our 4th stay here over the last several years. We love this charming city and B and B. We feel very at home and taken care of. We relax and have fun, much of it having to do with Barry's attention - he always steers us in the right direction food and adventure wise. Have to say I... More

I came back after a visit a few years ago, great setting, living room and breakfast. Barry helps people settle in, while we go about our adventures in Hudson. Rooms in tasteful Hudson style. Nice front balcony to sit and relax on.

Hudson City B&B is very quiet and comfortable. It is located on a nice quiet street, surrounded by impressive Victorian homes. The intricate wood moldings on these homes are truly amazing. Barry is a charming host and makes a great omelette. All in all, we had a very relaxing weekend and hope to visit again.

Really nice little place with a very genuine owner. Very pretty quiet location, comfortable clean room with honestly the softest sheets I've ever experienced in a hotel (and I've stayed at a lot of expensive hotels). Barry's very friendly, accommodating, fun to talk to and makes a mean breakfast, which is not to be skipped under any circumstances. Only gripe... More

Thank you so much for staying with me! And thanks a lot for the comment about the soft sheets. We take special care with the laundry and in selecting only 100% cotton linens for our inventory. Although the bathroom does not have a door it does however have a wall that separates it from the bedroom; that's the way it... More
