We were in Hudson for a family occasion. Many of us stayed at Front Street Guest House. They allowed us to use the back doors that connect the suites, so it was like staying in one big house, which was fun for everyone. Everything was clean and comfy. Perfect for a big group of people. Shared bath was fine for... More

I just love the the Front Street Guest House for a getaway from the city in early spring. The location is easy to reach, even by train. The accommodations were cozy and more than comfortable. The help in exploring the area couldn't be beat. And what a great area to explore.

We caught the Steve Earle show at Helsinki and stayed in this charming little guest house. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms upstairs with the shared bath. This place really has character. Old, hardwood floors with the wide boards throughout and cleverly designed rooms with a comfortable bed and fireplace. Sharing a bathroom is never ideal, but they... More

The elegance is just where it needs to be: in comfy beds with luxurious linens. The eclectic is everywhere within the charming and quirky decor of the Guest House and the evolving charm and variety of eateries in Hudson. The Half Moon suite worked very well for our inter-generational family of early and late risers, who made use of the... More

With family in hudson and the surrounding area, I have stayed at the front street guest house so many times that I have been able to stay in almost all of the rooms. Each room is unique, cosy and super comfy. The bed especially, the sheets are soft, and the rooms are clean and bright. I LOVE the way it... More

My boyfriend had some work in Hudson so I decided to come out for a long weekend to visit. It truly felt like a home away from home - comfortable beds, spacious rooms and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The room we were staying in had a cute little fireplace and cozy robes - we didn't want... More

Stayed in the Moby Dick suite on the 2nd floor. As others have noted this is an older house with sloping floors, Eclectically decorated, a mix of Restoration Hardware and some of the in-town Antique stores but with an artful eye. Nice linens and a comfortable bed. DishTV is provided. The bathroom is really quite small and thought should be... More

An interesting house. I had 5 other family members traveling so I needed at least three rooms. The house is dated and has lost some of its charm. Stairs and floors are slanted. Don't forget to watch your head. Ouch! Here is what you get which makes it all worth while: Plenty of room for sleepers 1.5 baths Kitchen with... More

Desperate to make use of Hudson's limited lodging options for our wedding guests, I contacted Shannon, manager of Front Street, very early on in November 2012. She was in the middle of an ownership change and also had just delivered a baby girl, but she always kept me in the loop and the minute she found out when the house... More

Our stay was fabulous. The room and the owners were great and made us feel very comfortable, and really pay attention to detail. A great way to spend our 2nd anniversary. Prices extremely reasonable for a suite and have all the conveniences of home. Hudson great town to go and unwind with all the entertainment, dinning, and galleries within walking... More

Front Street Guest House is an intimate, ten room hotel located in the heart of historical Hudson. We offer devilishly attractive rooms at unpretentious prices. Choose between one, two, and three bedroom suites with private bath and kitchenette, as well as cozy single rooms with a shared bath. Each room has a view of the Catskill Mountains or Hudson River. Fresh morning fruit and premium coffee are complimentary. We admittedly make it hard to rouse your self in the morning – luxury beds, 500 thread count sheets, and big fluffy pillows conspire against you, while in-room flat screen TVs and free WiFi scratch your digital itch. When you do rise, we’re just steps from Hudson’s local galleries, hip boutiques, and growing music scene. ... more   less
