Home B&B was a wonderful place to stay on my first visit to Queretaro. The location was excellent, in a safe and quiet neighborhood in the Centro Historico. My room was clean, bright and sunny and the price is extremely reasonable, especially considering the fabulous breakfasts prepared by Shelley, a professional chef and caterer. As a solo traveler, I appreciated... More

We stayed here while attending the Other Voices writing workshop (takes place every summer, check it out) and Shelley's delicious homecooked breakfasts, served family-style in the dining room, fortified our group for each day's efforts. Shelley is a knowledgeable and opinionated (in a good way!) guide to the city's culinary and cultural offerings, and has many friends among the locals.... More

We had an absolutely amazing time here, despite the fact that we only stayed one night. The reception was great, Shelley supplied us with information about Querétaro and showed us our room. The best thing was breakfast, amazing food and a great atmosphere. Shelley invited a Mexican friend to share breakfast with. It was a great experience!

I arrived very late after a long travel day, and Shelley, despite being woken up after hours was gracious and welcoming. Our room, "Ozzie and Harriet" complete with its red walls and flowery duvet covers had a Frida Kahlo/Diego Rivera-esque feel to it. Being on the second floor meant we had a great vantage point of the neighborhood, and cool... More

We had a wonderful stay in Queretaro at HOME B&B--our second visit staying in the Tuscany room. The room was spotless, spacious, and a great value. We also enjoyed having access to the kitchen, a full size refrigerator and stove, complete cooking equipment, and dishes enough to serve guests. The terrace at the top of the building is a lovely... I planned my trip to Queretaro way in advance, to make sure I had a nice place to stay. I emailed several times about my date of date of arrival and received several emails confirming the booking of my room. On the date of my arrival, however, there was nobody to open the door and nobody answered the phone number... More

We are sorry that you did not make your arranged arrival time which you estimated to be between noon and 1:00. Typically small B&B's, unlike hotels, do not use a front desk and rely on clear communication, so it was stressed in the emails you received that "your ETA is important so that someone would be here to greet you... If you enjoy traveling, meeting stimulating people, and trying interesting food, then this is your place. Clean and well lit, the rooms are basic. What makes the Home special is the atmosphere. The home is both literally a home and a metaphorical embodiment of the best elements of a home. Other guests are family members and Shelley, the owner, is... More

We just finished our third stay at Home B&B. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of coffee, shopping, plazas, museums and restaurants in the beautiful Centro Historico. The warm-hearted and ebullient Canadian proprietress, Shelley, is always helpful and willing to share her deep knowledge of Mexico and Queretaro. Her delicious home cooked breakfasts are always varied and plentiful,... More

We stayed in March 2014 with our two kids (1 and 3.5 years old) at Home Queretaro B&B for about one week. With our own travel-crib there was enough space in Room Tuscany. Possibility of using kitchen and diningroom is ideal with kids. Excellent breakfast in the morning with fresh fruits and warm pastries are a good start into the... More

We visited Queretaro for the first time in December last year, and we stayed in one of Shelley's flats in this gorgeous city! The flat was wonderful and Shelley is a wonderful hostess. We arrived quite late due to flight delays, and it was a Sunday at Christmas with the city in full party mode (fiestas everywhere and streets blocked... More
