Hotel Rio is situated right in the historic centre-do get specific directions for taxi drivers from bus station as not all drivers know -we had a couple of drivers who didn't know where it was!! -Hotel Rio at the end of 16 September street- in a cul de sac Guadelupe Victoria just off by the square. The beautiful square is... More

Spent two nights at this 22 room hotel.. Well built inside except air conditioning was broken. Excellent continental breakfast. Staff was great. Location could not be more central...want to old downtown locations for shops, churches and restaurants. TV and wifi was great. Comfortable bed...hot water worked well...so outside noises. Good price. They also use "Hotel Tonight" iPhone app for cheaper... More

The room we got was not the one described in our reso and the desk man had some lengthy explanation why not, but, actually what we got turned out pretty good. Room number 5 is entered by going past the kitchen and up a private staircase (one flight) through a small courtyard. A little weird but the large room with... More

The last review was surprising. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We are Spanish speakers - perhaps that makes a difference? Its a pretty hotel around a courtyard in a pedestrian only street near a lovely shady plaza. Welcoming staff and decent sized rooms. We had a room with a view of a wall - it didn't matter. Others are very... More

I was guest of such hotel during a congress in Queretaro. I was with my wife and one of my collegues. It was not found our reservation made by the rio queretaro website. We demonstrated also that a payment for two nights was requested to our credit card one month before. Probably they had an overbooking and gave to us... More

We stayed at Río Querétaro for one night and the hotel was clean and spacious. It is conveniently situated in downtown and it is perfect for walking around this charming cobblestone city with its beautiful churches, boulevards and magically lighted streets.

Hotel Rio is located down town Queretaro, so very convinient for travellers. Pricewise we paid 90usd per night for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids). Only thing for criticism is the fact that AC did not work. However fan was provided. Therefore I marked it down. Service is super and all staff is very friendly. Really a good recommendation.... Average hotel good location (15 min walk to centric historico). No air condition in rooms is a problem especially if it is hot. Service is above average. Parking is good as they have valet. TV is excellent as they have satellite and LCD tv's. Bathrooms are old but spacious and clean. Beds are average (mine was a king). Pretty good... More

This is a beautiful building well located very near the town centre in Querétaro. The rooms are comfortable and well presented by house keeping staff. They are on the small side, but are clean and adequate for a couple of nights. Unfortunately, we were disappointed straight away on arrival as no information was given about breakfast, or any other services... More

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in January at the Hotel Rio. It is located just off the municipal plaza and its an easy walk to anywhere in the central historic district. For the cost (about $70/day) it was a nice room with king bed, mini balcony overlooking the street and nice flat screen TV. The continental breakfast was adequate... More
