I stayed at Gema's House for 3 nights in Feb '09 and found it to be a real bargain for the solo traveler. Basically, Gema is the owner of a very large home, about a ten minute walk from the city center of Queretaro, Mexico. Gema is a very nice woman to deal with, although her English is very limited, she does her best to help.
The living quarters are two small "apartments" behind the main home (down some back stairs) that share a common entrance. Both guests of the apartments have access to a BEAUTIFUL courtyard / backyard area. one of the best features of this place. The room itself is fairly spartan; single bed, night stand, desk and chair, closet, locking door with small bathroom outside the bedroom. (I think she may have accommodations for a couple, but not sure. You can watch TV in the families front room as well if you choose (their house is pretty grand!)
