It's always great to welcome back a guest and we're pleased to hear you had another great safari experience at Kafunta River Lodge. It certainly sounds like you have excellent wildlife viewing, but that's to be expected in the South Luangwa! Thank you for your review and recommendation and we hope to see you again soon. More

This was my second trip to Kafunta and it did not disappoint. They have got the whole experience right. The accommodation had been upgraded since our last visit and is very luxurious and tastefully done. The suite we were in was wheelchair friendly as are all the paths around the camp. The staff are exceptional and nothing is too much... More

The resort was amazing with private suites on stilts overlooking the Luangwa River. The amount of animals that you experience on safari is incredible. They even come through the camp at night. The staff was first rate and ready to provide and meet any request.

Thank you for your review of the lodge and recommendation. The South Luangwa has some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa and so is a superb safari destination. With the animals roaming the floodplain in front of the lodge you can have great sightings without even leaving your chalet. More

We stayed at Kafunta for maybe the 12th time in January and consider this our home away from home in the South Luangwa valley. We have come to know the owners, guides and staff so well over the years that we truly feel like we are at home here. The chalets have been updated once again and are very comfortable... More

My partner and I recently spent 6 days at Kafunta River Lodge, including a 2-night stay at the Island Bush Camp and can strongly recommend it to others.
