This camp offers sites for tents, campers, and chalets. It is a good place to base your explorations of South Luangwa National Park but the managers need to give it some attention. A restaurant and bar are offered but there are numerous barbecue locations, tables, and wash stations around the camp sites if you wish to prepare your own meals.... More

Dear guest Thank you once again for choosing to stay with Wildlife Camp and thank you for your feedback. We really do appreciate it when we get information on areas where we can improve. We have had quite a busy high season, which isn’t over yet and the campsite does tend to get quite full due to the popularity and... More

Our 3 nights camping along the riverside at Wildlife Camp were one of the highlights of our 10 week trip. This is proper African camping, with wildlife all around you. During our stay we were lucky enough to see elephant, giraffe, hippos, crocodiles, and banded mongoose (and not forgetting the ever present monkeys and baboons) all from within the camp... More

We camped in our roof top tent for 3 nights in June. The campsite, overlooking a bend in the river, has spectacular views. The braai and electric hook up and small sun shelter with table were all in good condition as was the shower block. Herman and Dora and their team are efficient and friendly. Highly recommended

We camped in a rooftop tent for six nights at Wildlife Camp in early July (we were meant to stay for 2 nights but didn't want to leave!) The setting of the campsite is spectacular - in a prime location on the river. Each campsite has its own braai and thatched shelter with powerpoint. The staff/watchmen in the campsite are... More

We stayed here for two nights in a permanent tent beside the Luangwa River and it was superb!! The tent had a attached bathroom with hot water shower and toilet at the back and a small undercover patio at the front with chairs and a small table. The perfect spot to suit and watch the animals coming down to the... More

In January we stayed here for 10 nights. Although it was rainy season we only had one morning of rain. The rest of the rain fell in the evening or during the night. Most day's were cloudy which made the temperature quite bearable (20-25 C). We had leopard sightings every day and the park looked like the Garden of Eden.... More

I stayed at the for 2 night during an overland tour through East Africa. The scenery is just breath taking as described and even better. It is a very good place for campers sine that is the only way I can see the guests getting exactly what they pay for and enjoy the amazing view at the park. The permanent... More

Dear Hayat_Aziz. I'd like to thank you for taking the time to review Wildlife Camp on Trip Advisor and for the positive comments about the scenery in the Luangwa Valley. I would like to point out that Wildlife Camp is set in one of wildest places left on this beautiful continent and that animals like geckos are part and parcel... More

Thank you Herman, Dora and your wonderful staff for making our trip memorable, we celebrated a family members 50th birthday, and it could not have been more perfect. Heavy rains left us in doubt if you would pull off a surprise bush breakfast, but you did, in great style. Food was great all 4 nights. In my opinion, the rainy... More

Being just outside the South Luangwa National Park main gate, this camp makes for easy access into the park and for a slightly cheaper option with great camping facilities along the beautiful river. The large campsite has breathtaking views of the river, boasting Elephant crossings and leapard sightings. There is a pool and bar area also overlooking the river and... More

If you are in South Luangwa I would recommend going on a game drive with James from the Wildlife Camp. He is experienced, knowledgeable, has keen eyes, and asks you what you want to see as you enter the park. I was really impressed with James and especially his knowledge of the history of the animals in the park -... More
