My husband & I have traveled to Africa 4 times. We stayed at Kaingo in June of 2015 and it is one of my favorite safari camps. Chalets are roomy and comfortable, service is impeccable, with delicious meals, but above all else - the game is plentiful and AMAZING. In 6 nights at Kaingo we saw 2 different huge lion... More

Once again, this safari location lived up to & beyond my previous experience. Great location, relaxing accommodation, sumptuous meals & very friendly & helpful staff - both at Kaingo & Mwamba camps. But the best part was the animals - if you want a real safari experience with a vast range of wild animals, up close & personal, this is... More

Excellent visit several weeks ago during the dry season. Excellent manager and staff w/ great game viewing. Most unique about this propoerty is the opportunity to view wild life from five diffferent hides or perspectives. You may go high in the elephant hides (which may also double as a night's sleep under the stars, the Hippo hide, carmine bee-eater hide... More

Having spent three nights at the sister camp of Mwamba, we then moved on to Kaingo, which is a safari lodge and much bigger than the bush camp of Mwanga. We were able to keep the knowledgeable and fun Andrew Mweetwa as our guide for both camps. He quickly picked on points about light and angles to ensure that as... More

Right on the banks of the South Luangwa river, a small camp with just six very private and comfortable en-suite chalets ranged along the river bank each with a private shaded deck built out over the river on which to relax and watch the passing animals. Excellent, wholesome meals were served in the central dining, meeting, sitting, bar area. But... More

This was our third trip to Kaingo but our first to their bush camp, Mwamba. We spent 4 nights at Kaingo and 3 nights at Mwamba and loved everything about our time at these camps, from the beautiful setting over-looking the river at Kaingo, to the incredible and special attention from the staff and of course, most of all, to... We spent 3 nights at Kaingu( means "leopard" in local language) and 4 at the close-by sister camp, Mwamba ("heaven"). And "leopard heaven" it was with sighting every day sometimes both day and night in the same day. The guiding was superb, the food fantastic and the staff were very warm and accommodating. The week was our best ever on... More

We spent 3 nights at Kaingo and 2 at its sister bush camp Mwamba. Both were wonderful. Set in the middle of the National Park (note not all camps are) and in a remote, peaceful location on the banks of the hippo and croc infested Luangwa River. We love going to sleep to the sounds of the hippos. Our guide... More

Faultless. We don't rate a safari by the accommodation and food, we rate it by the game viewing. In this regard, Kaingo was fabulous. Great guides for our photographic group and fantastic leopard sightings, really fantastic - up there with anything we've seen in the Mara, Sabi Sands or Botswana. Lots of action on the leopard front, great eles, and... More
