I have never written a trip advisor review before but this place deserves it. This was our second time on safari and Babette and Phil blew us away with their lodge and hospitality. From home to another home, Babette, Phil and the staff make you feel you have been there forever and nothing is ever a problem. It is difficult... More

This was our first stop in Zambia, and it was a great experience. I was told that the camp ,due to seasonal flooding, must be rebuilt each year. In spite of that the individual rooms are "bush luxury" with reed and thatch composition, straw mats, local woods, fabrics and artifacts, and the most comfortable beds. There is an attached enclosed but... Babette and Phil were lovely hosts, the whole staff committed and friendly. Tastefully furnished and comfortable "tents" in combination with excellent food. Remarkable walking and 4WD safaris with lots of wildlife including lions.

Kuyenda was our first Safari adventure and we are spoiled for life. Phil and Babette are the most incredible hosts. From the moment we arrived we felt we belonged. Phil’s depth of knowledge and legendary experience could be intimidating, yet he has the most unassuming style and is very easy to relate with. Couple this with Babette’s charm and genuine... More

We stayed at Kuyenda at the end of our Luangwa trip, after Mfuwe Lodge, Bilimungwe and Chindeni. It's not as luxurious as the other camps, which are superb, but just felt right. Unlike the other camps which have permanent tents with timber floors, balconies, hammocks and the like, here you stay in a ground level straw rondavel with no blinds,... More

I have stayed in many camps all very good but with Kuyenda you never want to leave. Perfect location great food great hosts you just cannot get it out of your system sheer comfort. We used to have our early morning game drive and walk and return back to camp and just felt so relaxed knowing that we would be doing... This was our absolutely favourite place and the closest we came to feeling we were living in the wild. We were lucky to keep Gilbert our guide from Kampamba, and he drove us to Kuyenda. The sorgem reed rondavals are wonderfully integrated into the trees, so we felt very close to nature. We only had hurricane lamps and solar lights... More

We were in Kuyenda about 10 days ago for a three day visit. It was the highlight of our trip to the South Luanguwa national park. Simple but luxurious facilities with the bathroom open to the sky and a herd of Zebra in front of our chalet most of the time. Do not even think about going if you need... More

It’s been three weeks since we left Kuyenda, and I find myself staring at our photos with longing, wishing that our vacation had never ended – Kuyenda was that special. The accommodations were cozy, spotlessly clean, and super comfortable, with breath-taking views. Our room’s open-air bathroom with soothing sand underfoot bolstered the bush camp feel, yet somehow seemed both luxurious... More

This is WHAT A BUSH CAMP IS ALL ABOUT This was our first visit to this Camp and our fourth visit with The Bushcamp. Previously we have been in May before the Camp opened. It will not be our Last Visit to Kuyenda It has all the facilities required. The Chalets are spacious with very comfortable beds. Hosted by Babette... More
