I stayed at Luangwa River Camp and Nsefu Camp in South Luangwa Zambia. These are both Robin Pope camps and they were the best! The game viewing, accommodations, food, and service were perfect. Terrific guides and gracious hosts at each camp and a diverse and interesting group of fellow travelers to share the experience of a lifetime.

Been on a number of vehicle-based safaris all over Africa, but this 5 days walking was exceptional. Our guide, Bertrum, was a legend and Christabel and the team provided wonderful organisation and hospitality. The food was amazing and the logistics mind-blowing. A great experience all-round.

We have just had the holiday of a lifetime at two of Robin Pope's Lodges in the South Luangwa National Park. We started at Nkwali camp with brilliant guides and fantastic accommodation. We were met from Mfuwe airport and had a magical drive as the sun set to the Lodge, Food was excellent, accommodation could not be faulted and for... More

We spent five nights on the mobile camps walking safari along the Mupamadzi River in the north of South Luangwa NP. The walking safari is quite different to vehicle-based, the animals stay much further away, but the excitement of seeing them while on foot is something great. I'll never forget seeing lions watching us from the thicket before growling &... More

Going on an African safari was on my bucket list and Robin Pope Zambia made it happen for me. From beginning to end, everything was amazing. It was like luxury camping. We woke up facing the river, listening to the hippos call every morning. The food was great, the staff was nothing but accomodating, knowledgable, and fun to be around.... More

I spent 3 days at River Camp and 3 days at Nkwali, and it was incredible. The accommodations are fantastic, spacious, private, the food is excellent. At River Camp, Trudy the hostess really makes sur that everything is perfect as if we were guests in her own house. The guides are excellent, (yeah for Freddy!). The schedule is not tightly... More

We stayed in their Nkwali camp for a couple of nights then did a 5 night walking safari in the north of the camp before returning to stay at Nsefu camp (while Tena Tena is being moved slightly). All were great but the walking safari is superb - there were just three of us and one was made to feel... More
