Puku Ridge is a very nice property with excellent management and attention to detail. While a bit wet in early January, the viewing was pretty good with plenty of elephant, hippo, zebra, some leopard and uniquely a pack wild dogs (a very difficult sighting). The quality of the accommodation, food, beautiful setting with 270 degree viewing and wonderful sunrises makes... More

We had four nights here at end-October/early-November. It was absolutely FABULOUS! We saw more animals on the drives here than in any of the other parks we've been to. We even had a leopard come to the waterhole right in front of the lodge for a couple of nights. Also four hyenas. There are seven double tents, but when we... More

We stayed three nights at Puku Ridge in August 2013. Although the stay was relatively short it made a lasting impression on us and I would recommend this camp wholeheartedly. The location in the superb South Luangwa, the design and comfort of the camp and the rooms, and the food and the guiding were all simply top notch in our... More

We chose Puku ridge as we had previously stayed in other Sanctuary Lodges in Botswana and we had been told it was one of the remoter lodges. The camp itself is delightful with wonderful views. Our guide, Lameck, was excellent and we had some wonderful drives with him. The food was some of the best I have had while on... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience on Tripadvisor. We are pleased to hear that you found our camp delightful with wonderful views, that the food was some of the best you've had on safari. Lameck enjoyed being your guide and was happy to learn that you appreciated he's efforts. Unfortunately the congestion in the National Park is beyond... More

We had stayed at Sussi and Chuma before arriving at Puku and I was a little apprehensive as to what Puku would be like and was very pleasantly surprised. The game is plentiful and physically the camp is lovely. The public area is very attractive. The tents are very large and comfortable and well equipped. What lets Puku down is... More

The flight from Lusaka to Mfuwe was hassle free and it felt like we had landed somewhere very remote. The 2 hour jeep transfer passed quickly as the drive took us through rural Zambia in the dusk, across a river by pontoon ferry (an experience in itself - seasonal) and then through the National Park. This small beautiful rustic luxury... More

Brilliant all round lodge. Food and service was amazing and the ease of game viewing fantastic. The lodge benefits from a vista overlooking a plain where game can be viewed all day and night. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting South Luangua.

We chose Zambia as our first ever safari destination to be able to walk rather than just drive, and the South Luanwga National Park is so rich we got to see most of the animals on the first day, however our time at Puku Ridge was much more than a simple safari! We really enjoyed the morning walks and thorough... More

We have just come back from a fabulous trip to Zambia. Overall, the people are incredibly helpful, very articulate and keen to make your experience truly memorable. This is the first of six reviews I will be doing covering this trip. Puku Ridge is breath taking. The standard of accommodation, the attention to detail, the food, the views, the safari... More

Still cannot believe how much I was privileged too see in just 2 days/3 nights! Lameck was my guide and with his genial courteous good humour I saw 7 lion sightings, 6 leopard sightings, not to mention countless elephants giraffe hippos buffaloes and many more. Many sightings were just a metre or two from our vehicle, and Lameck was a... More
