We camped in a wonderful campsite on the banks of the Kafue river. You're right on the edge of the park so have the full wildlife experience - elephant, hippo and lion around camp while we were there. The main lodge is very comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful especially Joseph our camp attendant. More

The stay at the Mukambi Lodge (3 days) and the Busanga Plains Bush Camp (4 days) was a fantastic and unique experience for us and our kids (17, 15 and 14 years old); both very impressive and unforgettable. The photos on the Mukabi-site give a good impression of the beautiful locations in the extensive Kafue National Park, the brilliant lodge,... More

The Kafue National Park in Zambia offers you the "real’’ wilderness, like you expect it to be in Africa. It’s bigger than the Kruger park, while nature is still untouched and tourists are hard to find. No electric fences , asphalt, cars, barriers, shops or signalling panels, but just virginal wild life. The Mukambi Safari Lodge offers all the means... More

Mukambi Safari Lodge overlooks the Kafue river and is close to the park entrance. Crossing the river by boat you enter Kafue National Park to do game drives by car or take a boat trip on the river. Rooms are simple but nice en-suite chalets. Very good food. It’s a perfect stay on your way deeper down into Kafue Park.... More

We had 2 nights at Mukambi and 3 nights at their Busanga Plains Camp during our self drive in Zambia October 2011. Excellent service, a luxury room at Mukambi and a very good bush tent in the Plains and not to forget the food at Mukambi.- worth a "Michelin bush star", and the food at Busanga Plains Camp - also... I have now stayed at Mukambi Lodge and their Plains Camp twice. Mukambi makes a good place to kick off after flying into Lusaka (if you take overnight BA flight you will be there for lunch). Linda and her team provide great service and everyone is very friendly. The park is accessed by crossing the river by boat. The immediate... More

We stayed in Mukambi lodge in September '11. The place has a magic atmosphere. The rooms are luxurious, although with a back to nature feel. The great and unexpected attraction of Mukambi lodge is a local hippo, who was just wondering around the place when we arrived. The Mukambi lodge has a great location on the Kafue river and offers... Mukambi is all you need. Everything is organized perfectly. The managers and staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a chalet in Mukambi. The facilities were great. We had a nice view on the Kafue River. Wildlife is never far, so when it’s dark you will be escorted to your accommodation. Every day there are lots of activities.... More
