Definitely not 5 star lodge, not really even 4* in some parts We booked a suite via Kempinski web site, the room was not ready when we arrived at 6pm and they only managed to get it serviced the next day. It wasn't too clean. The next day was better. The promised "overlooking the waterhole" turned out to "maybe next... more

Although this is branded a Kempinski, it is far from it and quite misleading. Although the public areas have been refurbished, the rooms are very disappointing. We stayed in the Safari suite and the rooms are very plain - no character at all, the bathroom and toilet are outdated, the rooms are cluttered with old furniture and extra beds. We... more

We stayed at Mokuti for two nights at the end of our tour of Namibia. If you are looking for lukury and aren't too happy with canvas around you then this is the place for you. It has all the attributes of a top western hotel at a similar cost. We arrived in rain, much welcomed by the smiling locals,... more

There seems to be little doubt that the Kempinski makeover of Mokuti Lodge has transformed this place into the sort of lodge/resort that one is more used to seeing in other parts of the world. And that is why I hesitate to heap quite as much praise on it as the previous recent reviewers. Yes, the rooms are very comfortable... more

Wow! Can't believe the reports below. This was absolutely superb in our view. Although I don't know about the $111 price tag shown on this site - we paid US$200 and thought it excellent value. We are 2 adults and a 12 year old. We were given a suite with 2 huge bedrooms and a huge bathroom/separate toilet and a... more

This place has just been taken over by Kempinski and is undergoing some renovations. The rooms are very good. The food, especially the braai is great. The "reptile park" or whatever they call it is a joke. The service is a joke. more

Disappointed

This place is in Position A for Etosha National Park, being only a few metres from the gate. It ought to be an ideal place to stay, but somehow just misses the spot and I don't know why - maybe it's a bit too 'corporate' and soulless. The grounds are immaculate with antelope wandering freely about. There is a nice... more

This was the last accomodation used on a tour of Namibia. The lodge is fantastically placed for your entrance to Etosha Park - just a couple of minutes drive away. It has resident giraffe and a few bresbok which roam the grounds.which The lodge is spotless with large bedrooms and mossie nets. The pool is now fully functional and very... more
