Loved our stay at Cape Cross Lodge! The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful, marking our map for points of interest within the Skeleton Coast park. Dinner was very good (though the whipped cream on the dessert had gone off). The room with balcony overlooking the surf was wonderful. Loved walking the beach at sunset.

We blew into Cape Cross Lodge at 7:00pm and were out again at 7:45 the next morning, but I needed laundry done and they did it for me. The maid Acacia stayed late to get in into the wash and dryer. Thank you a million. Ready and packed up for us to carry out the next morning. Dinner was great.... More

Cape Cross is superbly located right on the beach and it is wonderful to step straight out of the room and walk for miles on a deserted beach. The new building is smart, clean and simply but comfortably furnished but just doesn't have the charm and atmosphere of the previous rooms that are now the staff quarters. The sense of... More

There is nothing in Cape Cross except the seal colony and the Lodge. Somebody put a lot of money into building this great hotel, with its great wide open spaces, fireplaces and bar, but forgot about the food. Fabulous menu with lovely French words, but what was served up was worse than you would get at any roadside café anywhere... More

The lodge has nice interiors but doesn't look that impressive from out. The location is good, but nothing spectacular. We dropped in for lunch after visiting the Cape fur seal colony nearby. Service was good and the food pretty good too. Reasonable pricing.

Isolated hotel on the edge of the Skeleton Coast with wonderful sea views. Only a couple of hours away from Swakopmund so less motoring if you are travelling around Namibia and visit this town. Large rooms with comfortable beds but the shower room was very "tired" looking and needed up dating. Lovely welcome from all the staff and very good... More

It's not only the best place in town, it's the only place in town, and there is no town. Nadine, the property's director, is warm and thoughtful, and being relatively new in the role, she's making her mark on the place. The location is outstanding--alone on a piece of land jutting out into the sea and next to the fascinating... More

What a stunning location for a lodge. We had a room at the end of a row, so had a dual aspect towards the Atlantic. The room was beautiful, with a vaulted ceiling, in muted blues and greys, a really relaxing decor. We spent the afternoon walking the shore and then settled down comfortably with drinks and wonderful cake. The... More

- Excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff - Cosy lounge area within dining room (with a fire place as it gets a bit crisp at night) - Simple but clean rooms, adequate size; our room had a balcony with great ocean view (invites to sit there for hours, just staring at the sea… watching seals popping their heads out... I last stayed here 12 years ago and had been wanting to go back for many years. It was worth the wait. We stayed for two nights in February and had a wonderful time. The food is pretty good but the location is fantastic if you like being in a remote spot. The room was also very pleasant and the... More
