Located on the Skeleton Coast and not far from the colony of Cape fur seals, this lodge and the nearby newly-built holiday houses seem about as far from human habitation as you could imagine. Nevertheless, the welcome, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff immediately made us feel at home. Our room was very comfortable and had a wonderful sea... More

We drove from Twyfelfontein across the country (on some pretty stony roads!) to Torra Bay and then down the Skeleton Coast National Park coastline to Cape Cross. After a flat tyre (which conveniently happened at the park gate where the national park gatekeeper was beyond helpful!) ) and 8 hours of driving through the most incredibly desolate and beautiful savannah,... This lodge is perfectly located to break your drive from the Damaraland area to the coast. The lodge is a welcoming oasis along the coast that offers very comfortable rooms with piping hot water for showers, a friendly well stocked public bar for a ice-cold drink and a pretty good restaurant for meals. The 4-course dinner was excellent with a... More

Cape Cross Lodge offers some of the most northerly (if not THE most northerly) hotel-type accommodate on Namibia's extremely long Skeleton Coast. (Though there are campsites further north, as there is at the Lodge, other development in the SC National Park is generally prohibited to preserve its pristine state). CC Lodge is a handy refuge in an otherwise deserted area... More

We have recently returned from our wonderful trip to Namibia. We were absolutely delighted to find this lovely lodge in the middle of no where. Warm and friendly staff. Beautiful lodge filled with interesting artifacts, small museum and whale room. The manageress was friendly and well informed and imparted good knowledge of the surrounding areas and drives to the interior... More

The lodge is in a very remote area along the Skeleton Coast and about 2 hours drive from Swakopmund. There's a campsite on one end and a few luxury homes on the other. Rather an odd combination in the middle of nowhere. Older woman at the front desk made me feel like I was an intrusion when asking for a... More

This is one of the most isolated and lonely places I have ever stayed. On a surf trip with my husband, we stayed here on two occasions, both in the Lodge and in the adjacent campsite. The general area is quite inhospitable but the Lodge makes up for that by having wonderful, welcoming, helpful staff, lovely open fires and pretty... More

Loved our stay at Cape Cross Lodge! The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful, marking our map for points of interest within the Skeleton Coast park. Dinner was very good (though the whipped cream on the dessert had gone off). The room with balcony overlooking the surf was wonderful. Loved walking the beach at sunset.

We blew into Cape Cross Lodge at 7:00pm and were out again at 7:45 the next morning, but I needed laundry done and they did it for me. The maid Acacia stayed late to get in into the wash and dryer. Thank you a million. Ready and packed up for us to carry out the next morning. Dinner was great.... More

Cape Cross is superbly located right on the beach and it is wonderful to step straight out of the room and walk for miles on a deserted beach. The new building is smart, clean and simply but comfortably furnished but just doesn't have the charm and atmosphere of the previous rooms that are now the staff quarters. The sense of... More
