We stayed for one night as part of a multi-stop trip across Namibia, and found the hotel to be far better than the others in the area within this budget range. The manager, who I believe is called Nadine, really puts this place on the map. Her greeting on arrival was very genuine and appreciated after a long drive. The... More

This is our third visit to the lodge and it really is an amazing place. Although it is a bit dated now and needs lots of upgrading, considering that it resides on a seriously harsh stretch of coastline, constant maintenance is a must. Problems with freshwater in the bathrooms was a problem we had this time, but rooms are good... More

We booked a night here as an en-route overnight stop and were not expecting anything other than fairly basic overnight accommodation. We were, however, very pleasantly surprised by our experience here. Our room was large, although maybe a little dated and, as we had a ground floor room, we had our own patio area directly on to the beach. The... More

We only stayed one night, but should have been longer. Amazing location, great food and nice rooms. The seal colony is a ten minute drive away. Fantastic spot to visit, but brutal-the seals are not "managed" by rangers so you'll see dead bodies and babies dying in front of you. A reminder of the savagery of nature.

What a New Year's Eve! The hotel was fine, but the setting is amazing and right next door to the seal colony - an experience not to be missed. Service is great. Rooms were fine but with wonderful views of the ocean.

This lodge is beautifully located right on the beach and a short drive from the seal colony. The rooms were a bit dated but the lodge itself was very nice. The reception lady was pleasant. There were two downsides, though. Reception told us there was wi fi available. It never worked - even when we sat exactly where we were... More

My wife and I recently visited the lodge at Cape Cross. The reception and dining staff are remarkably friendly and provide very good service. The food and facilities were among some of the best in our trip to Namibia. For American tastes, the facilities and service were truly something to remember. Our room had a door directly accessing the beach... More

We were really looking forward to our stay at Cape Cross Lodge, said to be one of only two places offering accommodation on the Skeleton Coast. Upon arrival the first thing that strikes one is that its not as remote as its made out to be, there's a large camping site next door and some private units next door. The... More

The hotel is really lovely, situated right on the beach. All the rooms are sea-facing, with balconies overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. The restaurant offers tasty meals, and has two large fireplaces, with plush couches and coffee table books to read whilst enjoying the warmth of the fire during the cold, foggy winters’ nights. The staff members were very friendly... More

When I booked at the Cape Cross Lodge I imagined an oasis in the middle of one of the world's most inhospitable environments. I was not disappointed -- although it's not exactly an oasis (all of the water is desalinated or trucked in). The lodge is situated in the most desolate, yet beautiful, place imaginable. The staff and service were... More
