Cape Cross Lodge is situated on the beach near Cape Cross, close to the seal colony but outside the park so that you can walk the beach. Very relaxing to have coffee on your patio while watching dolphins and seals! More

All the rooms have sea views and the staff are friendly and helpful. Best of all is the included dinner, prepared by Herman the local chef. Every evening we had a wonderful meal! This lodge is quite a distance from the town of Hentiesbaai but worth the travel. The neighbouring seal colony deserves a visit and also a day trip... More

We were at cape cross in June. If you want to see the seal colony this place is where you should stay. Is only 5 km from the entrance to the park. Beware the park gate only opens at 10 am so you really don't have a chance to get the best morning light if you are into photography. If... More

Well mantained, new big rooms with ocean view (at least many of them) and properly equiped. Common areas are attractive and pleasant. Food good. Appart of the nearby seal colony, the Mensum crater is also worth visiting (4x4 needed + local guide to find the way). Probably it is not worth driving so far north, it is possible to visit... More

Stay in Swakopmund or Henties Bay...there really is no reason to stay at this OK hotel (which had the chance to be very good) Staff are friendly, rooms are nice, nautical but lack the amenities many expect. The common areas are cozy and the fireplace great..however there's nowhere near enough space if the place was close to full. Food..hello, the... More

Located a mere 20 meters from the Atlantic, Cape cross lodge is quite a special place to stay. You fall asleep with the sound of waves and can look out of your balcony for Jackals coming to drink at their small waterhole/pool at night time. The feeling of isolation is quite strong and, especially if you enjoy the ocean, can... More

The reason to stay here is for its close access to the seal colony, which was great fun to see and photograph. The lodge itself is rather basic, and the rooms do not have heat which made it a bit chilly. But the food was good and there is always a cozy fire going in the restaurant. Our room had... More

this lodge stands alone right at the beginning of the skeleton coast, in the middle of nowhere. a part from the thousands of seals nearby there is nobody around! we had a walk on the beach and we saw two hunting jackals. they were quite close to us and we could perceive the lonely, desolated but fascinating atmosphere that this... The lodge is set right on the beach, is build in the American beach house style. It is very comfortable, staff is friendly and food is great. You wil walk almost alone on the beach, not other lodge or hotel in sight at all. More
