The lodge is very well situated and designed. The views from the restaurant and bar are great. One can sit in the bar and watch the rock hyraxes on the nearby rocks surrounding the lodge. The rooms were adequate and clean, some have good views over the plain but some face the rock face. The food was adequate, but not... More

The location of this lodge is simply outstanding. It's surrounded by red rocks and really nestled into the mountains. To watch the sun go down from the bar / restaurant is a very special feeling. And early in the morning the various colours of the desert are so wonderful mild. The variety of food is outstanding and so dinner as well... More

We arrived here on a 2 night stop over en route to Etosha and chose it because of its proximity to the local sights, particularly the rock carvings. Its situation, built into the rocks is remarkable as is the view across the valley. The restaurant and bar both command huge views. The food quality (buffet I'm afraid but with an... More

We stayed here for two nights during our self-drive honeymoon around Namibia. We only booked expensive accommodation and so expectations were high. Regrettably, this lodge (at over GBP200 per night) simply did not deliver and was terrible poor value for money. Our en-suite room was adequate, functional and clean and, being a room at the front of the lodge, had... More

The first time I went here was just to get refreshments on passing as for us unfortunately the lodge was fully booked - but I was 'blown away' by the setting. Well I didn't make that mistake again and have booked here the last 3 years. Fantastic open air bar/lounge area handy to the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein. Great service,... More

This lodge is very much set up for people only staying a single night, which I suspect is the vast majority of their business. The rooms are very basic, almost Spartan; but having said that, they were clean and were fine for that one night. The main lodge was much better, with a really pleasant bar area looking out over... Despite some negative reviews about this lodge we decided to stay there 2 nights and I can assure you that we made the right decision! The location is simply excellent: it is in the middle of the rocks, has its own rock engravings and is very close to Twyfelfontein Rock Engravings and Pipe Organs. Our room (number 2) was average,... I may be a little harsh with my rating but I would have been a bit more generous if the price had been much lower. We paid around 300$/night including diner. It's quite high for what you get. Twyfelfontein country lodge is nothing else than a motel with nice African roofs. The location is good and has a good base... More

a great hotels for staying when you want to see the Twyfelfontein drawings. It's close to the area and has its own examples. It's big and well organised.

The Twyfelfontein it is at a nice location in the midle of the rocks and the main buiding with reception, restaurant and bar is nice. The rooms could be better but in our case no problems, but was winter time and I can not say if in summer time it is so good. Anyway for us was very good.
