Although the lodge is located in a beautiful area, the quality of the service, the food (buffet style, so come early) and rooms let it down. We stayed there for two nights, but in hindsight one would have been enough. The rock engravings are worthwhile a visit, but the organ pipes and petrified forest are not really worth a detour.

Worst place we have been to in Namibia. The location is great, and there is plenty to see around. The rest is really poor. The food is bad, the people not welcoming, the place looks dirty. To avoid...

This lodge is built against the mountain.. It is very beautiful, luxurious with all necessities except no A/C in the rooms. We had a small incident which could have turned into a tragedy. Indeed there was a snake in our room. I had not seen it upon arrival. I saw it when I started to unpack. This snake (1.5 ft... More

We stayed here during our trip around Namibia. The rooms do not have aircon, no fridge and they hold the heat so there is no relief. Aside from that, the rooms are outdated and need attention. The staff are OK, though not overly enthusiastic and seem to be going through the motions unlike some of the other accommodation visited during... More

In terms of location it is a good place to visit the rock engravins. Concerning the lodge it is perfectly integrated in the area However when we arrived they could not find our prepaid reservation and when we left they had charged us for a tour that had already been prepaid. They did correct it afterwords. The room was o.k... More

Twyfelfontein Country Lodge is unfortunately the only accomodation you can find close to Twyfelfontein engravings and stunning sorrounding areas (Organi pipes etc), and probably due to this the rates are way too high compared to what it can offers and compared to other lodges across the country. First issue is the aweful corrugated road to get there! Considering the last... More

I was not sure what to expect of Twyfelfontein Country Lodge after reading quite a few mixed and, what I now believe to be, harsh reviews on Trip Advisor. We had a fantastic experience here. The lodge is very well designed to complement and not in any way detract from the remarkable landscape in which it is set. The staff... More

Big and slightly impersonal, the rooms could do with a lick of paint and the bathrooms badly need an upgrade, but the location is superb with great views. The food won't win any awards but the nightly singing and dancing by the staff is beguiling and the bar's squidgy sofas are a comfortable spot from which to enjoy a sun-downer.... More

This is a wonderful lodge in an amazing location. The buildings are beautifully designed to become part of the landscape, the service and the food are both excellent. A great place to relax after another very long tiring but extremely satisfying day touring this wonderful country. Anyone who criticises what is available at Twyfelfontein Country Lodge should give a moment's... More
