The only good thing about this lodge is the setting During our trip we stayed at 10 other places in Namibia and this was the worst place we have ever stayed at in all our travels It was incredibly expensive compared to other lodges in Namibia which offer a much better service and accommodation The rooms had no air conditioning,... The Lodge nestles against the surrounding mountains and is simply stunning to drive in to. We were treated to superb meals and very comfortable accommodations. Great sunrises and sunsets. Thoroughly recommend the excursions to the rock engravings and petroglyphs, Organ Pipes, Burnt Mountains, and the Petrified Forest. We also took the AbaHuab river and were lucky to spend a long... We stayed at the lodge for two nights as part of an organised tour of Namibia. As mentioned in other reviews, the situation of the lodge is stunning and blends in well with the surrounding area. However, it is not disabled friendly, the way up to the lodge from the car park is difficult and inside the lodge itself are... More

The rooms are in desperate need of a major overhaul. We have stayed in a variety of accomodation and are prepared for rough standards but this place tested our endurance!! The rooms are very very average. Linen had lint balls on it, towels were threadbare and there was no fridge. The lights were almost non existent and we were lucky... More

This place blew us away. The setting is remarkable, particularly the main communal areas which are built into the red cliffs. The food was excellent, especially considering it is in the middle of nowhere. The room was quite basic but clean. There is a refurbishment programme under way. Both the bar and the dining room were spectacular because of the... More

This is a fantastically looking lodge clinging to the desert mountains. The main building is large with comfortable lounges, bars and dining rooms. However, the management does not seem to be up to the standard expected, and the rooms are very basic. Staff are very nice, but inadequately trained. Food is average.

As many mention the location and the surroundings are exceptional, the main building blends in well. However the rooms are dreadful, small and very basic. Bathroom was not clean and the shower curtain full of stains. I don't mind something to be simple but it has to be clean. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good and offering substantial.... We stayed overnight and were very impressed with the natural surroundings and the architectural design of the building that suited the location. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. It is quite a busy lodge so the meals are buffet style with lots of variety available and all delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable... More

We decided to stay overnight only because of the beautiful surroundings. The lodge forms part of all the natural rocks and is awesome. I was however not at all impress with the rooms, definitely not value for money, quite expensive and only equipped with a rattling fan, there was not even coffee/tea facilities in the room. It was not what... More

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a group of 16 from UK. Our room facing the mountain was quite dark and most of the rooms are a long walk from the main building i.e. bar and restaurant. There is a problem with the hot water as it is not always available even though we were told that the... More
