Beautiful place! An oasis in the middle of this barren landscape, and the Jaeger is cold! Ice cold pool but expensive drinks. Staff could be friendlier as well..... All of this is made bearable by the beautiful country side and various animals!!

Good, gravel based campsites along the dry river course with an elephant in close attendance most of the time. Large sites and well maintained, with good access to swimming pool, bar etc. Kids had a ball! A bit of a problem with very high water pressures which made the pipes leak a bit and spots soggy around the camp. Toilets... More

A wonderful lodge set in the desert but along side an ephemeral river which has created an 'oasis' like setting. The lodge is friendly, tastefully done but I think it's greatest appeal is the organised trips to see desert game. Here there is a possibility of seeing Rhino, Elephant, Leopard and Lion as well as antelope such as oryx. These... More

Great pool and bar area to spend a leisurely day. We had a great guided walk with an informative guide, although limited game to be seen. Ablutions were OK but we we had a blocked drain next to our camp site which was disgusting! Be careful not to drive to Etosha from palmwag with meat as it will be confiscated... More

What a welcome oasis! We traveled from Puros to Palmwag on what I consider to be one of the worst corrugated roads. We were very relieved to reach Palmwag and more thankful that they had a very well equipped repair shop. The campsites were rather basic but with a nice view. Our campsite, no 7, was in the process of... More

we reserved the campsite at palmwag lodge. it is well maintained and offers all the necessary facilities campers need. dinner can be taken at the lodge which is very close to the campsite. food is good, wine and drinks as well. game drives are offered at normal rates. service is friendly. perhaps a little investment could improve the shape of... from the word go i had poor service, firstly after a long drive i was met by a gentelman at reception who checked me in and pointed me in the direction of a campsite. i was booked for 3 nights and survived 2 before leaving. the campsite was situated behind the staff village so both nights i lay in my... This facility has recently been done up, with new ablutions and chalets For those adventurous types it is a great place to stay, It is a all very clean and the chance of an elephant wondering through is good, but give them there space and all will be well

We got here thinking that Palmwag would be sort of a big place since on the map it was a bigger dot and it had a gas station. Well we couldn't have been more wrong. It has nothing.. but a gas station and a lodge. But were we glad with that lodge. It's such a cool place! It's got all... More

We stayed at Palmwag in December 2014 on our way to Twyfelfontein and found the staff very friendly, the rooms comfortable and the food great. We would very much recommend staying here. The view from the bar is great. The cabins are canvas sided, but the feel is very solid.
