What a welcome oasis! We traveled from Puros to Palmwag on what I consider to be one of the worst corrugated roads. We were very relieved to reach Palmwag and more thankful that they had a very well equipped repair shop. The campsites were rather basic but with a nice view. Our campsite, no 7, was in the process of... More

we reserved the campsite at palmwag lodge. it is well maintained and offers all the necessary facilities campers need. dinner can be taken at the lodge which is very close to the campsite. food is good, wine and drinks as well. game drives are offered at normal rates. service is friendly. perhaps a little investment could improve the shape of... This facility has recently been done up, with new ablutions and chalets For those adventurous types it is a great place to stay, It is a all very clean and the chance of an elephant wondering through is good, but give them there space and all will be well

We got here thinking that Palmwag would be sort of a big place since on the map it was a bigger dot and it had a gas station. Well we couldn't have been more wrong. It has nothing.. but a gas station and a lodge. But were we glad with that lodge. It's such a cool place! It's got all... More

We stayed at Palmwag in December 2014 on our way to Twyfelfontein and found the staff very friendly, the rooms comfortable and the food great. We would very much recommend staying here. The view from the bar is great. The cabins are canvas sided, but the feel is very solid.

We arrived late at the Palmwag campsite. It was full but they managed to find us a spot. Perfect for a night, the bar is nice to relax. You can go to the pool too. Its a good place to stay before entering the Skeleton coast.

I would highly recommend this lodge. We stayed on the campsite, they are very large and have all necessary facilities. The bathroom (private) is really amazing. It's open air, there's hot water and the view from the shower and the toilet is amazing. There's electricity and water. The renovations are still ongoing so it is quite noisy but I'm sure... More

Each campsite has its own plot with water, electricity, sink and work surface. We had a tree for shade and were close to the pools where we spent a lot of time relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the wifi you had to pay for but was cheap and quick. There was a lot of building work... More

As you will see from other reviews, Palmwag Lodge is currently undergoing renovation and extension. It promises to be a great lodge and has huge potential as it's location within the Palmwag concession offers fabulous views and great game drives. We recommend a full day game drive as the local guides (we had a knowledgeable guy called Peter) are familiar... More
