I would highly recommend this lodge. We stayed on the campsite, they are very large and have all necessary facilities. The bathroom (private) is really amazing. It's open air, there's hot water and the view from the shower and the toilet is amazing. There's electricity and water. The renovations are still ongoing so it is quite noisy but I'm sure... More

Each campsite has its own plot with water, electricity, sink and work surface. We had a tree for shade and were close to the pools where we spent a lot of time relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the wifi you had to pay for but was cheap and quick. There was a lot of building work... More

As you will see from other reviews, Palmwag Lodge is currently undergoing renovation and extension. It promises to be a great lodge and has huge potential as it's location within the Palmwag concession offers fabulous views and great game drives. We recommend a full day game drive as the local guides (we had a knowledgeable guy called Peter) are familiar... More

After few nights of camping we were happy to arrive at the lodge for 2 nights in a room for our honeymoon... first disapointment, right now the lodge is under construction, so reception is in a container, and there is construction noise all the time. First room we got was extremely disappointing, a room (from 1 to 6 I believe)... More

on our trip through Namibia Palmwag Lodge was the worst and most expensive place we stayed in. We stayed overnight in one of their so called LUXURY TENDS. We had to drag our luggage over serious rocks to get to the tend There is no facility in the tend for coffee. There is not even a glass to drink water out... More

Hotel room was a bit of a let down, very outdated bathroom, but bed was comfy. Really special location and we saw the desert elephants each day. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was good. Drive through the concession was awesome. Would like to go back once the renovations are done.

The hotel itself has nothing special but it is in a perfect location. The Palmwag concession is GORGEUS and the hotel is in a beautiful place and very convenient to visit it. Some elephants use to drink at the waterhole near the hotel and you will also benefit of the Amazing sunset. The hotel is being renewed in this days.... More

We booked 2 of the chalets for 2 nights for 4 people. The guide who took us for our gaming tour was so friendly and knowledgeable. The views from the chalet and the pool area are amazing, especially at sunset. I am not sure why some of the other travelers are not happy with this lodge. Some of the other... More

Having read a number of reviews from others, we adjusted our expectations, but even lower expectations weren't met. We knew it was a building site, which is fine. By far the worst experience over our 6 weeks in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia and SA. Management were nowhere to be seen, staff were unhelpful and mostly disengaged. Quality of food was well... More

We made use of Palmwag's camping facilities for two nights. Situated almost between Damaraland and Kaokoland, Palmwag is ideally situated for travellers en route to the North or South. The campsites were clean and 'OK.' I would complain about the ablution facilities which are sub-optimal at best, but we did notice (July 2014) that new facilities were under construction. Their...
