This lodge has a setting that could be used in a movie. Beautiful view on the Vingerklip. Rooms very large, decoration just great! Even the sheets on the bed embroidered ! Water in the shower was a little bit too cold, but maybe this was due to the fact that they use solar panels and we arrived late during a... More

In a setting that recalls the most dramatic settings in the American southwest -- Monument Valley, for example-- this lodge has that kind of grandeur punctuated with giraffes and friendly service. We got smiles from the staff everywhere we went! Taking the 15 minute walk up to the restaurant located on a thin plateau over the sprawling valley below recalled... More

After a week of camping this place was heaven. Perfectly designed for views in all directions, two pools that or children loved. And they had a tv at the bar where every one joined for the final in the world cup. Most on the clientel were Germans and the lodge was full. We could also see from the car park... More

This is an excellent lodge, with stunning views all round. Each room has a private terrace to enjoy the views and it is also perfect for stargazing in the evening. Dinner and breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly. I would recommend that you do the hour long walk trail to the Vingerklip, it is definitely worth it.

At first, one wonders whether this out of the way place is worth it, but one is amply rewarded for taking a road less travelled. Apart from the magnificance of the area, in particular the Vingerklip itself, this lodge is truly an oasis. I fully agree with the previous reviews of this place - perfectly executed service in stunning surroundings,... More

I have had the pleasure to stay at the Vingerklip lodge on more than one accession and I have to hand to them. What a spectacular lodge. The rooms are beautifully & comfortably furnished, appropriately built & positioned in the landscape with enough privacy to make you believe you are the only one here. The amenities are plentiful and and... More

It is almost breathtaking to stay in Vingerklip Lodge. The location is stunning, everything works wonderfully and the staff are beyond charming. The rooms are beautifully furnished and considered. Each room has it's own private terrace overlooking the waterhole. The swimming pool is tucked away in the wonderfully designed terraced gardens skilfully planted with exotic cacti. Food is plentiful and... More

We had lunch here. The staff were very friendly and the views magnificent. On the other hand the food was horrible and expensive. The vegetables were a mush of overcooked vegetables and the Snitchel soggy and grey.

Decided on a casual lunch here with Namibian friends scouting the Vingerklip Lodge as their possible wedding venue. Lunch at $105 pp was a tasteless chicken schnitzel and limp, frozen mixed vegetables - the kind sold in plastic packs in supermarkets. This was the most expensive and worst food of my two week stay in Namibia. Who still gets away... More

First of all i would like to thank you for your comment. In the tourism industry (as with all service orientated industries) we face several problems. Bad food and terrible service are inexcusable. And every guest has the right to complain both at the establishment and in a public manner. However, sometimes we are faced with a review that does... More

The lodge is located next to the "finger" rock and has a view over a great canyon; there is even a restaurant at a top of the mountain where they have built a restaurant (eagle's nest) that offers amazing sundowners and dinners. It is a good idea to spend 2 nights, to tour the area but also relax on the... More
