We stayed three nights at Huab Lodge. The 8 bungalows are spacious and, with solid floors and walls and insect guards on all the windows and doors, well designed for the November heat. Even in the afternoons, they were pleasantly cool. They all have a private deck and attractive views. The Lodge is very well run by the genial Philipp... More

Excellent team and a lot of laughters at the dinner table! For all venturing out in Namibia and want a great stop on the way to Etosha or North, the Huab Lodge is a fantastic place to stop over for a couple of days and enjoy the SPA treatments. The guide showed us a lot of nature although not many... More

The lodge's main building is just wonderful, spacious, airy and inviting to spend peaceful time in the beautiful surrounding. Great view over a little waterhole teaming with birds. From here you have the greatest starry skies awaiting you. Susie will bring these sparkling diamonds and their constellations closer to you with her pointer. The evening dinner is a great affair... We only spent one night on our way from Etosha to Swakop, two would probably have been better... We very much appreciated the hospitality. It felt like being part of a big family, eating homemade food around a large table, meeting staff members and other tourists. We were fortunate to meet nice people! We took the morning walk with Jan,... More

Certainly a different experience to the other lodges in the Namibia circuit, off the beaten track but worth at least one night but preferably two. Very much a place to relax and have a far more sociable break than generally available. We went on an evening drive and early morning walk which were both enjoyable in a not-Etosha kind of... More

Very personal lodge. Good food. Wonderful game drives (no elephant chasing). You see antelopes, birds, landscape etc. If you are lucky you will see elephants. (We didn't). Wonderful hospitality, spacious rooms, hot spring, very relaxing stay. Stay a minimum of 2 nights. Driving there takes a while, so arrive early and take it easy.

One of the things we particularly enjoyed about Huab was the 'house party' style service. It was fun and interesting sitting down to dinner at one long table with the other guests and exchanging travel tales. Jan and Suzi were excellent hosts and so welcoming. We felt that we were leaving old friends when the day of departure arrived -... More

Just back from 3.5 spectacular weeks in Africa (Namibia Botswana and Zambia) with group of friends and most of us voted Huab Lodge as our number one of the trip for many different reasons - we all loved the gorgeous and environmentally friendly rooms, the stunning enormous dining and lounge room where we enjoyed our delicious meals every day (with... Excellent facilities, excellent staff and hosts; you feel and are treated as valued family friends. Owners are your hosts. They are very knowledgeable and enjoy helping you soak it up. Wildlife is somewhat limited compared to parks like Etosha due to agricultural (cattle) operations on surrounding lands. Rugged country with lots of appeal, unpolluted skies, wonderful sunrises and sunsets. Stay... More

We looked really forward to stay here but we couldn't enjoy it, not at all. All the meals (seriously ALL of them) have to be taken together with all guests, managers and owners. Breakfast at 8:00 in the morning - sorry we were on holiday and not in a youth hostel. Dinner at 19:00 again all together. The owner introduced... More
