Amazing place to put an hotel. Great service. The swimming pool is small but beautiful. With an amazing view. The rooms are tent like structures. With no air conditioning, better put a lot of insecticide before dinner , in order to have a quiet night. The ride in the 4x4 to see the elephants is quite chilly in the morning,... More

Wow incredible place with incredible views. Really hot, 40+ in the afternoon, do not let this deter you as the pool to cool off in was refreshing. It was here we saw a storm roll in and watched baboons running for protection (with a double gin and tonic in hand). Staff very attentive but one thing I must mention is... More

Nature provides an incredibly beautiful setting. The buildings are fantastic and unique. Unfortunately the staff are loud, two faced, indifferent and spoil the whole (expensive) experience. Smell of sewage did not not help. No plugs in the bathroom basin or bath. Manageress only appeared when we needed to pay, then made it sound a burden to split the bill and... More

Mowani sits in a stunning location with great views. The staff are very friendly, though service was patchy on occasions. The food was fantastic--best we had in Namibia, but the restaurant struggled a bit with kind-friendly food (our two young kids don't do a lot of fancy things). The trip to the elephants was great, and likewise the stone carvings.... More

On our one month trip to Namibia we have seen plenty of different accommodations across the country and price segments (see list below). The Mowani stood out with one of the nicest sun sets and a remarkable game drive to see the dessert. We liked: beautiful lodge design and setting, sun sets, pool, nice and well kept rooms and facilities,... More

We were so excited for Mowani, as it was our "splurge" treat to ourselves on our trip, unfortunately disappointed. The waiters and bar staff were friendly albeit a bit slow on service, the sunset on the rock was lovely. The pool is very small but so enjoyable on a hot afternoon. Food was ok, except cold, cold plates as well.... More

It's a great place. Loved the rock pool. Service was very friendly. Don't miss the sunset! The desert elephant excursion is definitely a must! The food is nice. We stayed in a unit with an outside shower which was really fun. It's rather remote but taking the trouble to go there will be well rewarded. You do not need a... More

We spent 3 nights at Mowani and the bungalows among the huge red granite boulders were immaculate with wonderful views. Ours the furthest away provided some exercise up the hill to the main boma, rock dassies en route, and pool much needed in 43C heat! Very pleasant sitting room and dining areas with excellent views, a bird stream outside the sitting... More

This place is simply breath taking. A HUGE amount of care and thought has been taken into the design and customer service here. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a refreshing towel and drink and the formalities explained, meal times, afternoon tea, sun downer cocktails at the look out etc. The lounge is cozy and has a fantastic collection... We stayed at the Campground. It was nice with a shower and a flushing toilet but half of the time we didn't have water and we had to tell the receptionist because nobody seemed to notice. Also make sure to bring a moskito net, the flies and moskitos were really bothering.
