Well immersed in the mountain among boulders these luxury resort count only but a few chalet. Ours was the mini suite and it was simply unbelievable, luurious but simple, the best and usually what we crave for in a trip like this one. Hardwood floor wax-polished, wood forniture, spacious, huge actually, with a big "dehors" we unfortunately did not have... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in January, weather was hot! This amazing place is hidden away in huge boulders in a spectacular location - we stayed in the sister lodge at Camp Kipwe which was also wonderful, but the rooms at Mowani were amazing - chalets overlooking the plains and boulders of Damaraland... Food was good, staff were friendly... More

We stayed 2 nights at this luxury camp, which is set in and blends really well with the very impressive pink granite rocks. Our 'tent' was very comfortable with a bathroom area, with shower cabinet, 2 was basins and a separate toilet, behind the bedroom area. We had a good view and a small boarded balcony with table and upright... More

We stayed here 2 nights, with 2 excursions booked for the full day. The cabins are spacious and spotlessly clean, with breathtaking views over the valley. Our balcony could be seen from the "sundowner" area. We had to remember, not to wander out, unclothed, at sunset! Food was very good in the restaurant. We did the morning excursion to see... More

Dear Bella008, We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and loved your room. However, we are very disappointed in ourselves that we got it so wrong with the picnic lunch. Thank you for drawing this to our attention - rest assured that we will be brainstorming some gluten-free, picnic ideas that will travel well. Safe Travels... More

We booked this place more as a stop over between Etosha and Swakopmund, so only booked in for one night, but if we had known we would have booked for a least 2 nights ! The Campsite is near Twyfelfontein (rock engravings) and has about 12 luxury huts/rooms. The food and service was very good and the sunset at the... More

We stayed 2 nights in Mowani Mountain Camp, which is located near Twyfelfontein in Damaraland, a beautiful area with red round rocks and mountains. The camp and its 12 cabins are blending in very well into the environment. The cabins under thatched roof are extremely luxureous, very large and have a splendid view over the valley. They are all positioned... More

About a week ago I camped at Mowani with my boyfriend's family. We camped for 4 nights. The campsite setup was lovely amongst natural boulders that provided shade for tents and enough space between the next camping spot to give a sense of privacy when you camp. The bathroom and kitchen areas are nice and sheltered. The views at sunset... More

Lovely place - amazing setting and lovely accommodation. Definitely worth a visit! We only stayed one night on the journey going from Etosha to Swakopmund but 2 nights to really relax on what is a long drive would be recommended. The facilities and surroundings are stunning - we even spotted a leopard while eating our lunch. The staff are great,... More

The title of our review is no coincidence or exaggeration. The lodge is beautifully located between the boulders, just as the restaurant and the lounge. Everything seems to be part of the natural surroundings. On top of one of the boulders, the staff organizes a sundowner every evening, just before dinner. Beautiful place to enjoy nature and sunset. Our suite... More
