Damaraland is a completely different experience. Our room was lovely with everything we needed - but more Camp-like. The facilities were complete and suited to the environment. We ate family style which meant lively exchanges of experiences and new friends. We saw elephants, giraffes, ostriches and many other birds, spring bocks....the roads are rough but it is very much an... More

Dear EAMcDonald, Thank you for your beautiful review, we will be sure to share your kind words with Maggie, Teek and all the staff at Damaraland Camp. The traditional African starlit Boma is nestled within the surrounding bush, merely footsteps away from the lodge. Breathing flames, the Boma reflects memories of the ancient world of African folk and their way... More

Though not as luxurious as other camps I stayed in on my trip this place holds a very special place in my memories. The setting is beautiful, but it is the staff that make it really special. As soon as you arrive you are aware of how much they want you to enjoy it and they immediately become friends. Nothing... More

Dear Diverdoc, Thank you for this touching feedback, it is truly humbling to read such beautiful reviews. We cannot wait to share this with all the staff in camp especially Richard. The history of the conservancy is based in the empowerment of communities to have a say in their wildlife and environmental assets since independence. It has taken some time... More

We arrived at Damaraland Camp after 2 nights in Sousevelei (Little Kulala). From the arid desert, we were transfixed to a semi-arid desert. Much more green and a bit more plentiful wildlife (especially birds). The staff were welcoming and warm, the meals very good, and the tours (the highlight) great. Our first afternoon we took a nature drive that often... More

We stayed here for four nights in February and had a wonderful experience! From the moment that we got to the lodge the staff were helpful and friendly made our stay very special. This camp is amazing for so many reasons - the staff, the rooms, the food and the location. There is the ability to charge electrical items in their main office and the pool has lovely views over the desert. The Food was excellent, we had a boma meal the first night and then a meal at a large table in... More

A thing that makes the difference: an amazing and lovely staff! The cheff, the waiters, our guide, everybody did the best to make our stay an enjoyable experience. We spent three nights: in our first dinner we had a boma, had an amazing game drive in the next day (tracking desert elephants) and a full day visiting touristic places near... More

Our wonderful stay here started with a short but very scenic flight from Doro Nawas. A few minutes later, after a short drive, you turn a corner and there is the camp. We drove a very long way from Ongava Lodge, another special Wilderness Resort in Namibia. It is an adventure to get to Damaraland, endless dusty rocky roads ( without many signs to assure you of your path.) I stayed in three camps in Namibia and this one really was whimsical in its setting. The landscape lent itself to beautiful purple and orange sunrise and sunsets over mountains that look almost fairytale. The Huab River Valley lends itself to desert adapted elephant, springbok, desert adapted giraffe, oryx and the rare black rhino. The staff at this camp along... More
