This camp is amazing for so many reasons - the staff, the rooms, the food and the location. There is the ability to charge electrical items in their main office and the pool has lovely views over the desert. The Food was excellent, we had a boma meal the first night and then a meal at a large table in... More

A thing that makes the difference: an amazing and lovely staff! The cheff, the waiters, our guide, everybody did the best to make our stay an enjoyable experience. We spent three nights: in our first dinner we had a boma, had an amazing game drive in the next day (tracking desert elephants) and a full day visiting touristic places near... More

Our wonderful stay here started with a short but very scenic flight from Doro Nawas. A few minutes later, after a short drive, you turn a corner and there is the camp. On arrival we were welcomed with singing and the usual towels and drinks. Our tented chalet was very comfortable with plenty of hot water, incredible views from the... More

We drove a very long way from Ongava Lodge, another special Wilderness Resort in Namibia. It is an adventure to get to Damaraland, endless dusty rocky roads ( without many signs to assure you of your path.) The staff are exceedingly friendly and welcoming, you feel at home on arrival, the scenery is breathtaking! Our tent was roomy and clean.... More

Dear indy83, Thank you for your fantastic review, we will be sure to pass on your high praises to all our great staff in camp. We are terribly sorry to hear about the lack of hot water in your tent during your stay, unfortunately we did experience a few problems with room 5 recently, this have since been fixed. The... More

I stayed in three camps in Namibia and this one really was whimsical in its setting. The landscape lent itself to beautiful purple and orange sunrise and sunsets over mountains that look almost fairytale. The Huab River Valley lends itself to desert adapted elephant, springbok, desert adapted giraffe, oryx and the rare black rhino. The staff at this camp along... More

Other reviews tell the whole story. A great and dramatic location after a very long drive but excellent service from a well-trained young staff. Agnes, in particular, deserves to be snapped up by a London 5 star hotel for her customer focus! The boma dinner and the hilltop breakfast were highlights but it was really the most relaxing of the... More

D-Camp, as this camp is called, is a true oasis in the desert. The hotel staff welcome you with song and refreshments every time that you return to camp. The guides are amazing and will respect the land and animals. The family style dinners in the "bush" are exquisite.

This was one of our four stops in a tour of Namibia. The best thing about this camp is the approach from Swakopmund in the South on the Wilderness Air light aircraft; the breathtaking, rocky mountainous landscape (and especially the Brandberg) looks like we could be on another planet! The second best thing is the warm, jovial, and very knowledgeable... More

I loved this camp despite the rocky trip up the mountain we had to make to get there. The area is desert-like in spots and semi-arid in others. The camp has about 9 tented chalets and ours (the family unit #3) looked out over the gorgeous sandstone and basalt mountains. (Be aware that the family tent has one adult unit... More
