Camp Kipwe is a gem! The rondovals were beautiful and well appointed. I loved the outdoor shower and the deck with views over the rocks. Our guide, Borden was superb! The elephant tracking adventure was so very special and his knowledge and humor made it all that much better. The staff was friendly and did everything possible to make our... More

The roads to the Camp are not good. It s quite a long drive but what a pleasant surprise if you arrive in Camp Kipwe. Hidden around huge boulders are the different huts with a wonderful view on the beautiful Damaraland. The welcome was professional with a refreshing drink. The round cottage nicely designed, very comfortable bed with nice linen,... More

This spot is remote, with pretty rough roads to get to it but the spectacular setting and the way the units are arranged, coupled with the service and the friendliness of the staff are well worth it in every way. We did a drive to track the desert elephants and weren't disappointed, finding a mother and two day old calf,... More

Camp Kipwe is miles away from anywhere else. It is quiet and there is very little to do except go elephant tracking (a 5 hour trip) or view anceint rock art. accomodation is in round rooms with very nice beds.. Each room has a deck and the bathroom, shower & toilet are outside - pretty much private but even so... More

Great location and very friendly helpful staff. Attention to detail seem to be lacking like air conditioner leaking inside the room and chipped cups and not filled salt and pepper shakers. No wi fi but the very helpful staff let me use their office computer. Stunning sunsets and the meals were spectacular. I would have rated this much higher but... More

Sadly we only had time for one night at Camp Kipwe on our travels around Namibia. It is quite remote and reachable on bumpy roads but well worth the effort. It was a highlight of our holiday. A spectacular setting amongst the rocks, with friendly service and excellent food. The sundowner terrace has breathtaking views. So peaceful. It is 15... More

Recently stayed for two nights, and what an amazing place. Rooms located within a rock outcrop provided a stunning view of the surrounding mountains and sunset. The access to the rooms could be difficult for those of limited mobility. Thatched roof outdoor dinning room setting simply stunning as was the food. Interesting outdoor bathroom with a canvas sheet to cover... More

I recently stayed for two nights at Camp Kipwe in Namibia as part of a photo safari. I was impressed by the atmosphere and the location which is spectacular. Lots of opportunity for wonderful landscape photography as the setting for the facility is amongst huge rocks which add a wonderful atmosphere to the location. The rooms were exquisite especially the... More

Having read some other reviews, we were a little nervous about our stay at Camp Kipwe. We should not have worried. We were upgraded to the enormous suite and loved the outdoor bath (especially the bat flying into the area at night). We arrived in time for a dip in the plunge pool, which is hidden amongst the rocks. It... More

I can only echo the last reviewer except we did do the morning desert elephant drive with Tuffy and saw about 10+ elephants and spent a long time watching them. Saw many other wonderful animals - too many to mention. We discovered a nail in one of our 4 x 4 's tires and a small leak. David and his... More
