We stayed at Camp Kipwe for 2 nights in October 2014 as part of a self-drive trip around Namibia. This was by far the best Camp experience of our whole trip. The emphasis here is service, service, service, and great credit must be given to the camp manager and his all male staff, who all do an excellent job of... More

Camp Kipwe really is a five star accommodation. Upon arrival, you are presented with a refreshing drink as well as a cooling towel. Luggage is taken to the room wich is pleasant, as the pathway has steps. We were in the suite wich has a fantastic outside bathroom. The suite, like all rooms, has a great view and is quite... More

After a few nights of camping on our way to the Damaraland, we enjoyed every minute of rest in Camp Kipwe! We arrived as early as we could and left exactly on the limit of the check-out time! I first wanted to book a night at the Mowani Mountain Camp, on our way to the north, but it was fully... More

What a beautiful place. Hidden between some round rocks the round rooms are built. We had the Suite. It is expensive but very nice. The food is good as is the service. There is no wifi. We did the Elephant drive in the morning. It is a must. It is wonderful to see the desert elephant. We had a very... More

Both the location and design of the lodge are fabulous, it is a pity it is so badly run. The staff are poorly trained and the managers are invisible most of the time. We occasionally caught a glimpse of a manager drifting through but there was never one keeping an eye on meal service or checking standards. A lot of... More

Everything about our 2 nights at Camp Kipwe was magical, from our reception with a cool glass of herb-flavoured tonic water to a freshlly-washed 4x4 as we left. The lodge is built into a small kopjie of massive coarse red granite boulders, facing south-west and south, off the local road D2612. Accommodation is in 9 spacious stone-built thatched-roofed round "epondoks"... More

Camp Kipwe is the most beautiful place. I may be biased as I got engaged there! But really, the rooms are so pretty with spectacular views, the food was amazing, and the staff made us feel at home! Be sure to go for a sundowner as well, so spectacular and the appys they give you are delicious!

I'm jocking, of course. What a scenery. After miles and miles of dusty road you arrive to a hill of round big stones. You look. You see nothing but stones. You look again. Carefully. Yes, there it is. Camp Kipwe.Phantastic. Congrats to the arquitect because, in fact is a bright solution. Good service, good staff, very professional. Great gin fizz.... More

Our experience with Camp Kipwe has been a far from happy one. Whilst staying there we had a significant amount of money stolen from our bags in our locked room. We did not discover the loss of the money until we had moved on to Etosha . Thanks to some super efforts from our agent in Windhoek ( David and... More

We really liked Camp Kipwe. It was recommended and booked for us by Imagine Africa. The initial reception was good and professional and we got shown to our rooms (1 and 2) relatively quickly. The rooms are unusual, rather like rocky igloos. Whoever designed them had a fantastic concept and the ability to think in three dimensions such that each... More
