This lodge is one of the best places we ever stayed. The landscape is great and the hotel fits nicely into it. The rooms are little round huts. for us the most amazing feature was the bathroom: it was outside amidst huge boulders, perfectly designed. The sundowner spot they have there is another highlight. you climb up on top of... More

Our journey through Namibia this July was spectacular. We liked everything we did during our journey across the country. But the experience at the Kipwe Camp was absolutely awesome. The place is indescribably beautiful and unique. The Kipwe Camp is magnificent: perfect architecture for the environment, fantastic service, very interesting tours and exceptional cuisine. We loved it!!!

We stayed at Camp KIpwe in Damaraland, at the end of May 2015 for 2 nights on a road trip to Namibia.Camp Kipwe was the central point before we head westward to the Skeleton coast. Camp Kipwe is nestled amidst granite boulders in the semi arid red basalt rocky terrain. The camp has been constructed into the rocks and the... More

Had the pleasure to stay at Camp Kipwe for a few nights. Wonderful, clean and pleasant place to stay. Comfortable huts and excellent food. "Glamping" at its best. Enjoy the view and the peace and quiet. I strongly recommend the morning drive for desert elephant gaming. Do not miss it!

So glad that my travel operator (Edward from Namibia Tours and Safaris) switched us to this lodge as it was quite possibly the highlight of our Namibian trip (other than Deadvlei of course). We only had 1 night here which was such a shame as we couldn't get enough of the stunning views of the Huab valley. You can see... More

- on arrival, a nice welcome and briefing; told to use the safe in the room and told, for sundowners, request staff to bring your cocktail up to the viewing area. - no safe in the room - requested staff to bring my drink up to the viewing area (it is a climb to the sunset viewing area) and I... The chalets that are nestled amongst the boulders are very unique and provide an amazing view over the hills and plains. The lounge and dining areas are beautiful and comfortable, a great place to enjoy your book with a cold drink in hand. The rooms are essentially one room (with air con) with an adjoining outdoor bathroom, really enjoyed the... More

This luxury safari camp is truly unique and situated in a spectacular setting overlooking the Damaraland plains (home to the desert-adapted elephants among other wildlife). The cabins are built into a Flintstones-like boulder mound, so that you feel like you're embedded into the rock outcroppings. The bathrooms are outside, private, sheltered by the same large boulders. Showering at night is... More

Beehive-style chalets set amongst boulders with panoramic views over the rocky kopjes , valleys and hills. Outdoor bathroom - exceptional privacy!! Very friendly service. Excellent food. Very comfortable lounge area with stunning views. There is a terrific sundowner view point - 100 steps to climb to it. Drinks and nibbles were brought up to us and it was so nice... More

We all stayed in converted boulders, as this area had many boulders to navigate. The showers are completely outside which is really cool, but the rooms had very little light from no access to windows. The food here is great, albeit slow. There is an awesome sunset sight if you are able to climb to get to it....just order your... More
