This hotel is clean and respectable. There aren't a lot of options for travellers in the North of Ghana and this hotel matches up to the requirement of safe and reliable. Its not cheap but then no where is that a Westerner would stay. There is a restaurant on site serving Chinese and Ghanaian food

This is just a basic hotel, with a marginally okay experience. I tried their on-line registration, and in hindsight I was not surprised to find it hadn't worked. I tried their phone number from on-line, and in hindsight I was not surprised I could never get through. The room was ok, spacious, and clean. My biggest problem was the front... More

This hotel is basic, but still considered one of the better ones in Tamale. Security appears to be fairly good, my room was relatively clean and spacious, the parking is good. Attached to the hotel is a restaurant which had a fairly good menu, though I would describe the results as so-so, and an television that seems perpetually set to... More

A nice hotel. Rooms were nice, clean and good wifi. I was sick and the hotel didn't have a blanket which was very disappointing, but the staff overall was kind and attentive. We asked a plug converter and they brought, we needed a recharge for our phone and they went to get it. Also the restaurant was bumping! there were... More

Mariam is among the 5 or so places to stay in Tamale. However, they will charge you well over what you will pay in other places that are nicer or as nice. It's not worth the extra money. They have priced themselves out of the market and are at least $30 to $50 higher than their competition. The only thing... More

Got stuck in Tamale and this hotel was suggested by someone that stayed here before. The hotel is sort of OK for this part of the world. Prices compared to what you get in Accra, then not too bad. Still high but OK. The room was clean and the food in the restaurant was also OK. The wi-fi works.

I am not rating the (overpriced) lodging establishment but rather their restaurant. This is Tamale's only attempt at a fine restaraunt in turns of ambience and menu selection, which isn't saying a whole lot as there is not much here! The ONLY reliable air-conditioning in town. Tabel coths, cloth napkins, etc. The music is a bit loud and upbeat for... More

We stayed at this hotel in June of 2013 for the first time, though I have stayed in Tamale a number of times in other hotels. When we checked out, the lady I was traveling with was charged in US dollars rather than Ghanaian cedis, which is totally dishonest and unacceptable. I did not realize what had happened until we... The hotel have large and well equipped rooms. We were only here for one night and it felt a bit on the expensive side. But as mentioned in other reviews it is one of the best hotels in Tamale. Clean rooms.
