Shortly after we checked into our room, a park ranger knocked politely on the door and said, "I'd like to show you something." We stepped out and there was an elephant walking through our yard to eat a green bush! We kept a respectful distance and after he left, we went to take a look at our back balcony. There... More

So I didn't go in expecting much which may be why I was so pleasantly surprised. This hotel has a pool, decent food, and pretty good rooms. We stayed in one of the chalet rooms (we just drove up to the hotel but I'd recommend booking in advance as they were almost full) which had a lovely little balcony that... More

This is not called a Hotel. It's the Mole Motel. This is a one star motel in a five star National Park. Why one star? It's very expensive ($80 a night) and basic things like the light in my bathroom didn't work. But, it's worth it because of where it is situated on a bluff above an elephant watering hole.... More

I couldn't find much helpful information about the park that isn't out of date, so here's my update. First, there are new roads which make travelling to the park relatively easy, except local bus leaves at really odd and inconvenient times from Tamale: 4pm to go there and arriving at 7pm, so you're stuck staying the night until the first... Room 10 was large and spacious with decent sized bathroom, though oddly the toilet was about two thirds the size of a normal toilet. Cold water only and not great pressure but room had a/c, fan, fridge and ample plug sockets. Food was good but took a long time to arrive even when 2pm lunch was preordered at 10.00 am.... More

We stayed one night at their campground which had been devastated by monkeys (so they told us): The toilet and shower facilities were completely destroyed and had been for many months, given the state they were in. Nevertheless they charged us the full rate. The Motel was fully booked and so we had no alternative. The staff in all of... More

I stayed here for 4 nights, despite being told that 2 nights would be enough. I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 days here. There is a 2-hour walking safari and/or a 2-hour driving safari. But I also did a 2-hour excursion by canoe, and had a 2-hour farm trip. Most people will see the star attraction – the elephants – at... More

This is a no bells and whistles kind of place. The room are basic, but clean. There is no water pressure, you'll have to fill a bucket to have your bath. The food was average, just put your order in early to ensure you eat at a reasonable hour. Something was not-quite-right with the pool, but it didn't keep many... More

The motel looks and is tired, little has been spent on maintenance and upkeep. Staff are friendly and helpful but dreadfully slow. Food can take an hour from ordering to reach the table and they had run out of chicken off the bone, salad and fresh fruit and this was for a number of days before only the chicken was... More

We stayed in the girls dorm and our friends stayed in a double aircon room - both were super clean and cosy with the very best part being the amzing view over the waterwholes just below the hotel where you can spot elephants, antiolopes, etc. we also had some wildlife just outside our door: baboons, antilopes, warthogs The staff is...
