Hideout is the best guesthouse in Ghana. It has an unbelievable location on Butre beach and is secluded in the best possible way. Whether you travel alone or with others, you will have an unforgettable stay with George, Kofi, Comfort and the rest of the staff. It is spotlessly managed, endlessly friendly and the food is incredible (and cheap!). Definitely... More

This was by far the best place I stayed in whilst travelling in Ghana. It was a short trip so was only able to stay for two nights but wish we could have stayed for much longer. The beach is stunning, the staff were friendly and very helpful (best service we received throughout our trip to Ghana!), the food was... More

Kudos to George Eshun, manager of Hideout and his staff. Christmas and New Years was incredibly busy, but they made every moment memorable. Hideout is a jewel tucked along the most incredible beach, safe for swimming and enjoying body boards. There is no end to the tranquility. Although isolated, the lodge is easily accessible by taxi and there is nothing... More

The most amazing and special place- we loved it. Great service and food as well-especially the fish and lobster. It is definitely worth the journey-if you go arrive by bus into the village and be transported into paradise over the rickety bridge. If you go to Ghana you must visit this place.

By reading some of the reviews you could be forgiven in thinking this to be a little piece of paradise. Make no mistake, it is situated on arguably the best unspoiled beach in Ghana. The staff are nice, the rooms are good, the food was a little disappointing but OK. But I found it a little too isolated for my... More

This place offers probably one of the finest and most deserted beach locations in Ghana. For those of you who like freshly caught sea fish and huge plates of grilled lobsters for 40 cedi hideout is a must go destination.

I was here for 3 days, on my own. The rooms are nice and clean, mostly self contained. Direct acces to one of the most beautiful and clean beaches of Ghana where you will not be bothered by anyone! The place is close to Busua but more quiet, lovely if you want to take a nice walk along the beach.... More

The utterly beautiful and laidback Busua is rapidly becoming a top tourist destination in Ghana, but is paying for it. Vendors are starting to wander down the beaches, expensive luxury resorts are sprouting up out of nowhere and the beach is getting more and more polluted by the day Still, the place definitely remains worth a visit if you are... Hideout was so hidden I kept thinking the taxi driver was lost. We had hopped off the bus and waved down a cab. Forget the guys in the bus depot, they run the usual game of overcharging. After some negotiation we got a guy to take us there for $50 cedi which was a good price we found out. Getting... More

Spent a week recently at Hideout Lodge with my wife and we loved the relaxed seclusion of the beachfront oasis. George, the manager was such a gracious host who insured our stay exceeded our expectation. The beach is beautiful, accommodation delightful and the food was great, the beer was always cold! Thank you George for making our stay so memorable.... More
