Being parents of young children, we were looking for a getaway that was not too far from home, but a change of pace and scenery where we could relax. The Inn at Green River provided that comfortable, private and accommodating space. All of the amenities were superb, and breakfast prepared by Deborah in the four seasons room surrounded by windows... More

We felt so pampered with all of the thoughtful details (especially the warmed coffee mugs)! The Inn is beautiful, hospitality is amazing and breakfast SO delicious! We especially loved the baked apple recipe! We have told so many of our friends and family about our wonderful stay, and look forward to returning!

Just returned from 4 days, 3 nights at the Inn at Green River and have to say we're already talking about going back! LOVED this Inn! We've stayed at quite a few B & B's in the past but this is the first time we're actually planning a repeat visit to one. A beautiful, clean, comfortable, cozy and quiet place.... More

So pleased to hear that the Inn at Green River is the ONE you would like to return to! I enjoyed having you both here for a three night stay....long enough for you to really relax. We are in the midst of retiling around the tub and adding new shower fixtures in the Martin Van Buren room - the room... More

This is the third time I have stayed at this charming inn located in the thick of the verdant glory of the Berkshires, and the experience was unchanged in its excellence. Deborah the innkeeper is a warm and generous soul, and a fount of knowledge on the area's activities and history. The breakfasts served are delicious, the grounds and rooms... More

My husband and I have just returned from a week in the Hudson River valley. After selecting our B&B on the west side of the Hudson, we began searching for one on the east. Every time I visited another site, I kept comparing it to Inn at Green River - so we booked a room there. It was pure heaven!... More

Thank you, EWP. I am glad you enjoyed your stay at the Inn during your Hudson Valley trip...there is so much to see here in the upper part of the Valley and we are close to the Berkshire attractions as well. Quite right, the floors in the 1830 part of the inn do creak....part of the charm. But there are... More

Quaint, adorable, charming, inspiring! You'll love this inn. The rooms are gracious and full of humor and comfort. The hostess is accommodating, kind and warm. Her cooking is delicious and she is extremely willing to accommodate all diets. Her food is stupendous. I found everything I had forgotten to bring supplied for me in the bathroom. Extra bonus? Homemade cookies.

Thank you, "artisanbread". Judging from your nom de plume, you are a foodie, and you came to the right place. I am glad you liked my food, but also, I am sure you enjoyed the wonderful farm to table restaurants we have in this region. More

We stayed here for the first time a few weeks ago. What a delightful well run Inn! We will definitely return the next time we visit the Berkshires. It offers nice rooms, and everything is well kept. Deborah's healthy, delicious breakfasts are a real treat.

Thank you, TripGuy942! I am pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. I agree with your tip about the Crandell room - if a TV is not important, this small room still has the charm, and a very attractive price! More

I did Deborah an injustice when asking for a tea for breakfast. Her coffee - though not an expresso - is excellent as is her breakfast. This is a good location for those wanting to enjoy Tanglewood and all other cultural activities in the Berkshires. The inn is well kept, a little antiquated but with the comforts of modern life... Roberto, it was a pleasure to have you and your family as guests. Perhaps next time I would suggest a room in the west wing of the Inn (built in 2001) which I don't think you would find antiquated. But the innkeeper herself could still be described that way! ;-) Glad you enjoyed the coffee and the breakfast. I know... More
