A real gem in Highland on the Hudson River. The owners Jane and Neil were so helpful in providing insights on attractions, restaurants, etc around the area. Every recommendation was spot on perfect. And, Stonegate was a great place to stay. Our suite was perfect: comfortable bed and attractive furnishings with the bonus: delicious home cooked breakfast of scones, quiches,... More

Jane and Neil have put together an absolutely wonderful B&B. Though the house was built in 1890, and still retains its historic charm, the modern conveniences we've become used to are blended in perfectly. Make a reservation at the nearby Culinary Institute of America, visit any of the 12 wineries within 20 miles, take a horseback riding lesson at the... More

This B and B is wonderful. The house and the room we stayed in are charming. The hosts are friendly and capable. The breakfast was excellent, especially the scones. It is about 15-20 minutes from the Hyde Park destinations: CIA, FDR, Val-Kill, Vanderbilt mansion.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time for two nights in the Fireside Suite. We can't say enough about how beautiful and relaxing the room was. The mattress was comfy and the bath had everything we could have needed. The entire home shows the care Jane and Neil take in providing for their guests. They are lovely... More

My husband and I enjoy staying at B&Bs, and Stonegate is one of the best yet! Neil & Jane are such warm and friendly hosts. With charming rooms, and great food, it was a very relaxing stay [it was a little anniversary getaway]. It's in a great location, near many places of interest, including the Hudson River Walkway and the... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night prior to our friends wedding. The room was beautiful and had ample space for both of us to get ready. The owners were very friendly and we're very accommodating with our 6 month old baby. The delicious breakfast they served consisted of excellent homemade quiches, blueberry pancakes, sausage and two different... More

We selected Stonegate for our first visit several years ago based on the superlative reviews that were posted on bedandbreakfast.com and tripadvisor.com, and we were not disappointed! Of all the B&Bs we've stayed in across the country, this is our favorite. Jane and Neil are perfect hosts -- warm and welcoming and attentive to every detail for making their guests... More

We stopped to visit friends near Poughkeepsie and were lucky to find the Stonegate Inn. The charming old home was well-equipped (Wi-Fi throughout the house, tvs and dvd player in every room) and the hosts were gracious. Our bathroom was a bit small, but very serviceable and the bed was really comfy. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts made accommodations... More

We were surprised by the cold welcome we received from the owners, especially Jane. My family has a few dietary restriction and we were told by a previous guest that the food contained mostly gluten and dairy which we are accustomed to. I brought food for us to not inconvenience them. When we got there, Jane seemed almost insulted and... More

I am sorry that we were unable to provide a good experience for you here at Stonegate. It was also confusing for both my husband and I. I think that the conversations between us had reflected that mutual confusion and most likely was the result on our part, of not knowing until a few hours before you arrived that there... More

This was our second weekend stay at this Bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Fireside Room both times and enjoyed the comfortable bed, day bed and chairs. The breakfasts are phenomenal each morning with plenty to eat and a wide selection. We will be coming back!
