We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stonegate. The hosts/owners Neil and Jane are very welcoming and serve an amazing breakfast. Do not miss the scones - Jane prepares different kinds each day and they are fantastic! This was one of the quietest bed and breakfasts I've ever stayed in. Just lovely!

Neil and Jane make sure your stay is the best. The inn is always clean, secure, and welcoming. You are welcomed by the owners and they provide for all your needs. Jane is an excellent baker and breakfast includes several baked goods as well as 3-4 hot items such as fritattas and various egg dishes. Location is ideal for visiting... More

We loved staying at this lovely home of Neal and Jane. They were the perfect hosts. They showed us all the common rooms and then our bedroom. It was very nice having a refrigerator and ice maker for our use. there was also a microwave. The breakfast on all three morning were delicious. These were served on beautiful china which... More

Neil and Jane were perfect host and hostess. They went out of their way to give helpful advice for us visitors. The old house and furnishings were gorgeous. The breakfasts (three mornings) were exquisite. The room and other amenities could not have been better, and we have been to many B and B's. Take my advise; stay here if possible.

We were greeted by our hosts (Jane and Neil) for the weekend. They showed us the common areas on the first floor and the bed rooms and bath on the second floor. They informed us that each room had free internet connections. Breakfast was served daily between 8-10. The breakfasts were marvelous! Fruit, orange juice, quiche, waffles, sausage, cereals, scones, muffins,... More

We spent two days with Jane and Neal and were awestruck the moment we walked in the door. For me, the house is like what I grew up in so it felt like home. Jane and Neal have decorated the house beautifully, keeping the decor to match the historic house but included all the modern accoutrements to which we are... More

We stayed here while visiting colleges in the area. Located in a residential neighborhood and run by a lovely couple, this comfortable B and B made us feel as though we were staying in the home of friends. The Illinois Mountain View room at the front of the second floor has a spacious bathroom; the Fireside Suite at the rear... More

My husband and I stayed for a romantic getaway. Spencer greeted us at the door welcoming us. He gave us a tour as well as history behind the house and how it grew over the years. Spencer and Beth made us feel at home from the beginning. The room was well cleaned and beautifully designed. When we asked about the... More

A real gem in Highland on the Hudson River. The owners Jane and Neil were so helpful in providing insights on attractions, restaurants, etc around the area. Every recommendation was spot on perfect. And, Stonegate was a great place to stay. Our suite was perfect: comfortable bed and attractive furnishings with the bonus: delicious home cooked breakfast of scones, quiches,... More

Jane and Neil have put together an absolutely wonderful B&B. Though the house was built in 1890, and still retains its historic charm, the modern conveniences we've become used to are blended in perfectly. Make a reservation at the nearby Culinary Institute of America, visit any of the 12 wineries within 20 miles, take a horseback riding lesson at the... More
