This Inn is a perfect getaway. The owners, Debbie and Mark, are highly attentive to your own personal expectations and comfort. Breakfast is a gourmet culinary delight with fresh local farm to table ingredients. Their knowledge of the area is extensive making it convenient for any activities that you may want to try. We couldn't have asked for a better... More

This inn is lovely, and the owners are super attentive to their guests. The whole house is beautiful and set on a lovely piece of property. The only thing I warn is that the food served at breakfast is very unique. So if you are a picky eater, it's probably not going to be your thing.

Susan and Matt, it was a pleasure getting to know you during your stay with us last month. And it is always fun to have the extended time during a tour to be able to offer you some of the best experiences here in Hammondsport and the Finger Lakes. Unfortunately, it was a little too wet to enjoy the courtyard... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Black Sheep Inn in Hammondsport, NY in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region. This beautifully restored home is a very relaxing get away. The bedrooms have all of the amenities. Even the bed was extremely comfortable which has not always been our experience at various B&BS , hotels,... More

My wife and I were in Hammondsport during a busy marathon weekend and were lucky enough to snag the last (and smallest) room at the top of the stairs. Although small, the room was very cute. I was afraid that we may have a lot of noise from the stairs, but that was not the case (and I am a... More

Hello Randy & Laurel~ Thanks so much for your kind words! My husband and I stayed at the Inn for three nights on our first trip to the Finger Lakes. The Inn is very clean and we enjoyed the character the house and furniture provided. We stayed in the Wood Room and it provided ample lighting in the bedroom and bathroom. There are several common areas that are nice to relax... More

Katie and Tyler, what a true pleasure it was to help you celebrate your anniversary here at the Inn & Spa. We enjoyed getting to know you and are glad that the weather cooperated so we could light up the fire pit while you were here. And it was fun to surprise you with the Curtiss Museum, an amazing place... More

The room was clean but the lighting in the room and bathroom were poor. Mirror in bathroom was old and the quality was that of an old mirror that had seen a better day. I tossed my bath towel on the floor as it was used to stand on because the floor was painted wood and the bath mat was... More

As professional innkeepers, we take great pride in helping our guests enjoy a relaxing visit to Hammondsport and the Finger Lakes. Unfortunately, as all who interact with the public know, some customers seem determined not to enjoy themselves. Without rebutting every point, it is important to state that we are gratified to serve organic breakfasts created from scratch, with local... More

We stayed at this B&B for 3 nights during our recent stay to the Finger Lakes region. The B&B is a unique octagonal building set on a large piece of property on the Pleasant Valley Rd near Hammondsport, very close to the village. The village itself is quaint and features several very good restaurants. Our room was very comfortable and... More

Lucie and Mike, we’re really glad to have been your base of operations for biking tour of Hammondsport and Keuka Lake. And we’re glad you found our location, just less than a mile from the Village of Hammondsport in a tranquil rural setting, to be convenient for your rides. Your dedication is inspiring. And while we do prepare indulgent, organic... More

I booked this weekend getaway as a birthday surprise for my husband, as we both work very hard and had a tough week. We were warmly greeted, and very well taken care of by Deb and Mark all weekend- they were excellent hosts, offering just what was needed, as we had privacy, yet they made us feel so at home.... Lisa and Fred, it was great fun being involved in Fred’s birthday surprise! And we’re really glad the weather cooperated for the birthday flight. It was a pleasure having you with us and we enjoyed sitting with you out in the courtyard and getting to know you both. And next time, you’ll have to bring the “play” car. Drive safe... More

The Black Inn is the most wonderful place. I can't say enough about the hospitality, comfort and breakfasts. Deb and Mark are the consummate hosts. I felt that when we left, we were leaving good friends. I highly recommend this B&B.

Bridget, it was so nice meeting you and Bill, and we enjoyed chatting with you in between your explorations of Keuka Lake and the Finger Lakes. It is always bittersweet to watch new friends depart, but there is always the sense of looking forward to catching up with you during the next visit. See you soon. More
