I spent four days here and wanted to spend forty! Meant the owners and was treated like family from moment one. The rooms are awesome, loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the park. My favorite part was the friendly staff, I felt like a long family friend immediately.

I had been traveling all week and this was the best nights sleep! Stayed in Room # 2. It was very clean and the bed was wonderful. The room was large. I had a very nice dinner downstairs and in the morning I relaxed with coffee on the outside deck. No complaints at all. I will be back.

We have stayed at the Village Inn four weekends in the past four years. The Good: food and service are excellent. Wine and beer selection rarely matched in my travels. The Bad:The rooms are pricey considering the 20 steep step ascension to the second floor which would challenge a mountain goat. Pergo flooring, cheaply done. No shelf above sink although... More

We rented the 2 room apartment (#3) with kitchenette for a 2 night stay. Plenty of room for a family of 5. Great having the kitchen with frig and stove. Great little balcony with chairs for hanging out with a drink and some snacks. Looks like it had recently been painted and new bedding added. The location couldn't have been... More

We have had dinner here in the pat and it was pretty good. We decided to come on valentines day and were very disappointed. We made reservations for 6:30 thinking we'd beat the crowd and it seemed as though we did when we arrived. They were not packed and we were seated immediately, this is where it took a turn... More

I am so glad you contacted us! Yes, there was a communication error between our serving staff. We would never intentionally treat anyone this way and we strive to be the best at all times. I tried to contact you unsuccessfully by phone. Please call me at your convenience by phone 607-569-2528 or email info@villagetaverninn.com. Thank you and I am... More

We booked 2 nights but had to cancel due to my husband's surgery. The Tavern initialy charged me one night's deposit. After cancellation (2 months ahead of our arrival date), they refunded half of that. Guess I failed to notice their cancellation policy, but once you read it, you still need a while to let it sink it. Here it... More

My family and I took a getaway to Hammondsport, NY. We stumbled upon the Village Tavern Inn, and it was amazing. Not only were the rooms clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, the staff was friendly and helpful as well. My favorite in particular, was the crab and artichoke dip. The atmosphere along with the beer and wine selection made this... More

We stayed in Rooms #2 and 3 this weekend. The rooms were awesome - very clean, both had full kitchens, room #2 had a full living room and updated bath. The only suggestions we would have is to replace the plastic miniblinds with some room-darkening window treatments, and provide earplugs (the band from the bar next door was very loud... More

After multiple trips to Hammondsport recently, we have had high hopes of the Village Inn. When we finally got our chance to eat there, we had a group of six. We waited several minutes to be seated and I was excited by the ambiance. As soon as we were seated, we were handed HUGE binders for menus. Seriously? Binders? When... More

I had the best sleep of our entire trip at the Village Inn. The suite was immaculate and well outfitted and the beds downright luxurious. Yes, the floors slant and are a little wonky, but it's an old building, so that is to be expected--and anticipated! The Irish pub across the street was a bit loud on Saturday night, but... More
