Stayed in the "Spring" room, while visiting Colgate University. It's very close to campus and very close to what we are told is superb golf. No golf this visit, late March is still cold & snowy in Hamilton, NY! The room was on the first floor, which normally we don't like, but it's pretty darn quiet so it worked out... More

Weathervane Farm is truly a "Guest House" - tastefully decorated and extraordinary CLEAN located on a lovely property with stunning views - and many deer wondering about. Our room was very private yet completely accessible to the fantastic common area kitchen, dining and sitting areas. Highly recommend this peaceful retreat in Hamilton - just a stones throw from the Colgate... More

My wife and I swung through Hamilton with our son to tour Colgate. Weathervane Farm was the perfect place for us to stay while in town. Greg and Christy could not have been more friendly or accommodating, and their lovely B&B was just right: quiet, comfortable, beautifully appointed, and a stone's throw from the campus. The welcome carafe of wine... More

My son is a senior at Colgate and we have stayed at the Weathervane many times in the past four years and just love it! Greg and Christy could not be more hospitable and welcoming. Christy has a real designers eye and everything is sparkling clean. My favorite room is the "Winter Room" with it gorgeous view of the Hamilton... More

I was more than pleasantly surprised when my daughter and I arrived after 11pm one night on a college tour. We were greeted by the delightful owners Christy and Greg. The room was spectacular with fresh bottled water, home-made cookies and wine. The decor is lovely with crisp linens, high end toiletries and all the amenities. Highly recommend the Weathervane!!

My son and I took the Grand tour of the Northeast for colleges. One of the colleges was Colgate which is in a small upstate town in New York called Hamilton. We arrived late, yet ond of the inn owners was waiting for us. She had wine and cookies available. The room was pretty. The views and town are gorgeous.... More

This property is lovely. The rooms are spacious, clean, and decorated beautifully. The inn keepers are gracious and do a wonderful job as hosts from morning breakfast of Chobani Yogurt and granola cereal to afternoon cookie and wine. My husband and I highly recommend for a stay 2 minutes from downtown Hamilton. Reasonably priced.

For sure, the accommodations at the Weathervane are the best in town, and have the highest finish level (although I've not seen the rooms at the Colgate Inn since they've been renovated). But..you will pay a HEFTY price for a room with a high level of finish. Personally, I would only stay there if a) nothing else nice was available... More

Yes, this place is pricey. However, you get a super comfortable place to stay in Hamilton, NY that is also very quiet, since it is not right in the center of town. It is an easy drive to get anywhere in Hamilton from the guest house. Breakfast is not served, so this is just a place to stay over. The... More
