We are novice kayakers and found this to be a very enjoyable couple of hours in a small lake and river. The staff were all very helpful. But most important, the scenic views were incredible. A definite return. The hotel was under repair from a hurricane so we stayed elsewhere.

Dear Nancy S, Thank you for your review of our kayaking operation on Lake Wawaka. This is a wonderful place for novice or experienced kayakers to enjoy the bird life and views of the Catskill Mountains. Our B&B has recently reopened so the next time you are in the area we can host your stay. More

To be fair, this was only our 2nd stay at a bed and breakfast. Maybe my expectations were too high but I wanted to just state a couple things in case there are any other couples like us expecting something a bit different. We arrived late at night and Susan showed us around. The website said that we’d have a... More

Dear Nakky123, Thanks for taking the time to write a review for our B&B 4 years ago. We have since remodeled and rebuilt our 1810 Mill House since suffering major damage from Hurricane Irene in 2011. Recently reopened our all new Lake View suite has a private entrance with electronic lock and includes high speed wi-fi, flat screen television, private... More

The hosts, Susan and Jim Kelly, are genuinely interesting and worldly hosts. Susan, a gourmet cook, personally prepares a memorable breakfast, a major event. The house is filled with antique musical instruments and many other fascinating collectibles. Jim is the on site host and has a fireplace fire going when you set forth in the morning, and is ready with... More

Having a gorgeous breakfast with your table overlooking the lake and the dam is the best way to start your week-end and to forget about the City and its pressure. Our hosts take care of us with tips about this quiet and secluded country life . You can enjoy a trip on the lake in a kayak or a canoe,... More

We have enjoyed visiting for years now. The hosts, Jim and Susan, are gracious and down to earth. We have become friends and consider them part of our extened family. The food is magnificent. The scenery is beautiful and sounds from the waterfall are tranquil. We look forward to going there a couple of times each year. Hiking, skiing, and... More

We have been coming to this wonderful place for our annual getaway for a few years now. As usual, it was a heavenly experience. The setting is perfect- private lake with a romantic island in the center, original historical bridge nearby, all hidden from the main road in a charming little village. The house is updated throughout and still keeps... More

This place is such a gem! Jim & Susan are so friendly and accommodating. This B&B has wonderful lake views. The downstairs is large and spacious. The interior has lots of antiques, paintings and interesting collectibles through which keep you very occupied. There are plenty of board games available as well. Lovely setting on a lake with waterfall as described. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of foods hot and cold. We were the only ones staying that night as we are in between ski season and the summer season. They kindly had given us an upgrade to a waterfall room from the meadow room at no cost. We had...
