My family and I went to Greenport for a mini vacation and decided to stay (2 nights) at the Greenporter Hotel. I chose to stay there after reading a NY Times article about the North Fork. I was very happy that we did chose to stay there. The place isn't fancy, in fact it's pretty basic, but it's very clean,... More

The Greenporter is basically a decent, clean motel with a nice poo an friendly staffl. If your looking for more than that then I would suggest another more upscale property. We chose this place for two reasons, location and price. Lodging during peak season on the North Fork isn't cheap and since my wife and I decided to spend just... More

We had the pleasure of being able to secure The Greenporter for our recent wedding weekend for our guests and we have nothing but rave reviews on the delivery, quality and operation of our their stay and our welcome party. The rooms are spacious with a modern flair and the pool was an amazing feature to have on-site, acting as... More

This is the second time I have stayed here. The hotel is modest and modern looking. Each room is very clean and modernly finished. The beds are very comfortable and there are plenty of towels etc. The rooms all open up to the pool area. The pool is large and heated with pool towels available. The staff was very helpful... More

This is a clean well staffed place to stay when you are wine tasting and eating great food out on the North Fork. It is a no frills renovated motel and they do not claim to be anything but that. The rooms have a flat screen TV and a fridge. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you are looking... More

The building claims to have been built in 2001, but looks like any run of the mill, slightly rundown 1950's motor lodge, with non-descript two story box construction surrounding the central pool area. We arrived close to the 4pm check in time and were kept waiting outside until nearly 530, with no reason nor time estimate offered. We got several... More

Like anything else in the service industry, the people who make up the staff is what matters. The Greenporter delivers strongly in that regard. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are minimally, but tastefully decorated, which is my aesthetic so it was fine with me. The prices were good for what you get and the pool and hot tub were... More

The room was nice, clean, and quiet. The bed and sheets were comfy. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is an onsite restaurant with good food and drinks with a nice spread for breakfast in the morning. The only downside was that the pool/hottub closed at 7 PM.

We came in town for a wedding and we had to book a 3 night minimum, which we did. Plans changed and we decided to come in a day early and asked if we could leave a day early. This was not a possibility due to the wedding block. I understand that but our friends that were there for the... More
