We stayed on night, Sunday, in August. check in at 3:15, not reay till then. Like reviews, very minimalistic decor, like Ikea, but that was fine with me. Cute. My fiance and I are from Long Island and wanted to get away for a weekend. We priced hotels in the Hamptons, Montauk and Shelter Island and could not find something that was both attractive and in our budget. We picked the Greenporter for an overnight stay in the North Fork area during a weekday. The weekday rate drops $100 under the weekend rate, which made it an excellent value compared to other hotels and B&Bs around. No frills, just a very clean and comfortable room. Service in the lobby and the restaurant for complimentary breakfast was friendly. more

A very trendy eatery that needs to be visited when ever you are in Greenport!!! The breakfast menu is amzing! Try the crabcakes with bechamel sauce topped with a poached egg!!! The Greenporter was our home base for a long weekend stay in the North Fork. Primary purpose of our trip was visiting the wineries and bicycling. We've stayed in Greenport before, but at B&Bs, which are nice, but so is the Greenporter, in its own way. Drove out from NJ to the North Fork wine trail, our destination that night was the Greenporter. Very pleasantly surprised, rooms have been updated, clean, hip, comfortable. Clean pool and jacuzzi. Continental breakfast very nice, plently of fresh baked goods, juice coffee etc. Will definitely stay again next time out east... more
