I wish Trip Advisor would allow me to give 3.5 stars. We stayed here on a Thursday night at paid less than $180. I thought it was a fair price given all the other prices around Greenpoint. I thought it would be less since it was post summer and post Labor Day but it wasn't. The young ladies at the... More

Dear EEEEKKKKKK, We are saddened to hear that you were unhappy with the weekend rate during the North Fork Harvest season. Weekends during the Harvest Season on the North Fork run at full occupancy as our 60+vineyards are bursting with visitors celebrating the grape harvest and the farms are showcasing their bounty of pumpkins and other Fall produce. We are... More

The North Fork on Long Island is a less pretentious option than the Hamptons, and the hotel options quite expensive for the quality of the properties. Simple motels in high season with two or three night minimums nearing $300 are a budget consideration. That being said, the staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean and very modest, with... Dear zabeanerchicago, We are happy you enjoyed your stay in Greenport. For better value you will find planning a few midweek vacation days worth it. Not only are the rooms $100 less than the weekends but also more relaxing service at the hotels and vineyards as you won't have the weekend crowds with which to contend. The Greenporter Hotel offers... More

If you don't have a car, this is a good location from which to explore town.. Value compared to others is good when you have kids and need decent-sized room and pool (largest suite on ground level is useful with strollers). But, details were disappointing - some critically impt (found little red pill - not ours- on floor maybe because... More

My family and I went to Greenport for a mini vacation and decided to stay (2 nights) at the Greenporter Hotel. I chose to stay there after reading a NY Times article about the North Fork. I was very happy that we did chose to stay there. The place isn't fancy, in fact it's pretty basic, but it's very clean,... More

The Greenporter is basically a decent, clean motel with a nice poo an friendly staffl. If your looking for more than that then I would suggest another more upscale property. We chose this place for two reasons, location and price. Lodging during peak season on the North Fork isn't cheap and since my wife and I decided to spend just... More

This is a clean well staffed place to stay when you are wine tasting and eating great food out on the North Fork. It is a no frills renovated motel and they do not claim to be anything but that.
