I enjoyed stay at the Townsend Inn. The room I had was newly renovated. The decor was simple and elegant. It was very clean nod had plenty of fresh towels, toiletries, coffee maker, refrigerator, only two faults....no hair dryer and breakfast was not included. The cost of the room was $250.00 with tax and no aaa or senior discounts.

I just can't give this place more than 2 stars, even though it is in close proximity (10 minute walk) to the idyllic town of Greenport. Aside from the pool which was a very good size and well kept, the rest of it is in a state of disrepair. The rooms are dumpy with old carpeting, paint chipping off at... More

We stayed here for a friends bachelorette party, 21 women, and no one complained. No, it's not a 5-star hotel, but it was clean, recently refurbished, and exactly what we needed. Rooms and efficiencies were all spacious and comfortable. It is a half mile from town, so a nice walk to anything you need. We spent a lot of time... More

Outside of other buildings (Not main inn) do need some paint, BUT rooms (was in the waterfront cottage/first floor and relatives on second floor) were newly done - bathroom tiled and new, clean, spacious. Had fridge/microwave/coffee maker in room. Close to pool (which was clean and set up very nice - sun and shady spots/tables with umbrellas); marina with dock... More

There seemed to be a lot of negative TripAdvisor comments. OK it needs a coat of paint here and there. But most of the time your eyes are closed in a hotel! The room was great. The bed really good. Microwave Fridge and coffee machine. Bathroom good. All good and at the end of Main St where there are lovely... More

I stayed in this "hotel" for 2 nights as part of a bachelorette party on the Norfolk Wine Tour. After driving so far and paying a lot of money I was hoping to be sleeping in a decent bed. When I arrived at the Inn I noticed that we were about 1/2 mile outside of the towns main area. The... More

A very tired and grossly overpriced lodging establishment. They should be ashamed at what they offer to guests. Give me your money that is what they are all about. There is not a chance I would stay here again or suggest that anyone do so, unless you like being ripped off. Quaint is one thing but tired and old plus... More

First, this hotel is not as poorly-maintained as other reviewers suggested. After reading the horrible reviews, we were pleasantly surprised by our room. The bathroom fixtures in particular were modern and the A/C was comfortable. Having said that, it is definitely not worth the money charged. The room was decent but admittedly not amazing, and the housekeeping left something to... More

First, I would not consider this to be a B & B - it has multiple buildings and multiple rooms in each building. I would consider it to be a motel.... The rooms were dated but absolutely clean. The bed was a little hard for our taste but the AC could blast! The location is pretty good - a 5... More

We stayed here because it was the first place with a room after getting off the Cross Sound Ferry at 4:30 p,m,. It was clean and comfortable. The place has been around awhile and is in need of some exterior TLC, Inside, our room had stained carpet and the furniture was a bit worn, Location is nice and is set... More
