Donna and Nelson welcome their guests like friends. The house and rooms are done in a gracious Victorian décor. The rooms are well appointed and the rates are reasonable. Many of our Travelers from Gouverneur Hospital stay at the attached motel or in the suites and have been very pleased.

This property is a B&B with about ten motel rooms in the back. I chose to stay in one of the motel rooms because I had my dog with me, and she wouldn't have gotten along well with the resident poodles in the inn. The room was a family room with a kitchenette and was decorated in a cute way.... More

I have been coming to Gouverneur for the fair every year for as long as I can remember. My family does the band awards at the fair. Donna and Nelson have done nothing but made myself and my family feel like a part of their family. If you are looking for a place to stay in this small town please... More

Lived in Gouverneur for 10 years The people who own this B&B show tourist some of the best in the area. Food is great. People are so friendly and helpful. B&B is clean, well decorated, a trip back in to and a sweet spot to rest the soul.

Couldn't agree more with the other reviewers. The owners/hosts are wonderful folks, and anyone who travels knows how much that matters. I stayed in the "pink house" across the street from the main house. While the building is old, it is well furnished and cozy. Each room has its own bath, and each is large enough for a single or... I didn't actually stay at Lawrence Manor, but I was visiting friends from out of town and Lawrence Manor was so kind. They let me use their internet to take an exam for Graduate School. They were so helpful and willing to accommodate my needs. The facility itself is adorable and so sweet. I can highly recommend Lawrence Manor and... More

This B&B and Hotel is a gem in Gouverneur. We have stayed with them many times with no complaints. The themed rooms add a home feel although the integrity of a hotel room is maintained. Clean, convenient, additional surprises such as stove/dinnerware, and great prices. My sons enjoyed the stay !!

We enjoyed our stay with gracious hosts, Donna and Nelson Lawrence, during Christmas week. The home was beautifully furnished and appointed with period accessories. Each room was decorated for the holiday and it was like stepping into yesteryear. Our bedrooms were comfortable with all you could ask for (WIFI and cable TV too), and included an evening turn-down service that... More

I have to admit that I was skeptical of what the room would be lilke for the price - a larger room in the motel in the rear - with 2 double beds and a small kitchenette for under $80 a night. The decor (Adirondack hunting and fishing) wasn't my style but the room was immaculate and everything was provided... More

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend, last minute plans. We were so glad to find this place. Other option was the Clearview, which only had smoking rooms available (ick!). There are two houses, we stayed in the Victorian Lady, the 'pink' house. It was so quaint, we loved that much of the structure is original, bathrooms are modern. Liked... More
