We only spent one night in this pub/hotel and luckily had room number 1 which had a balcony overlooking the river. The room was small with an old fashioned wardrobe with only one hanger. As we were there for only one night we didn't bother asking for more. There was a teeny loo/shower but again fine for one night. The... More

The room was run down (bathroom door broken, unemptied dustbin, no sheet on extrabed with a mattress full of holes, uncleaned room (found games on the floor from the previous guests), all bath towels soaking wet from unknown source, way overpriced, the breakfast buffet was a joke and they refused to prepare pancakes though they were on the menu, etc....... So the decor is a bit dated, and the chef needs to sharpen up a bit (great menu, cold plates), but this place has great character, great staff, and a super location - both in terms of overlooking the river, and being only 20mins (at peak time) to get to T4. It is also great value - £80 per night... More

We stayed in the swan for 3 nights while visiting friends. It was very handy for where we were going to be visiting and over-looked the river Thames - however it was very tired inside. Just little things like paint being chipped off the walls & tired carpets which didn't lessen the quality of our stay (Sleep was good &... More

Appearance: The swan is a beautiful little pub and hotel on the river front. The first appearance of the hotel is nice and it has updated decor at reception. The only downfall was the fact no one was there to greet us at reception and we was left standing a while before being greeted although many staff walked past us... More

Not too bad, difficult to find but a lovely setting on the river. Make sure you get there before pub closing or you wont get in. We arrived late, 11.55pm, due to a delayed flight and we were told it was too late to have a drink in the bar despite a table of revelers who were still sat nearby.... More

Good day and thank you for your review. Unfortunately we have to follow our licensing laws with regards to serving alcohol and we have to allow for people to finish their drinks once time has been called which I believe is why there were still a table of guests in the bar on the night of your stay. I am... More

I loved this little hotel. It was a quaint little hotel not far from Heathrow. I believe it was built in the 18th century. If you like character this is the place to stay. My room was furnished with nice wrought iron bed. And the flower filled balcony had a little table and chairs along with a beautiful view of... More

We stayed at this Hotel between Christmas and New Year. The staff were well-trained, pleasant, polite and helpful. The room was well-equipped and had a 'real coffee' making machine. The breakfasts were amazing - greatest choice we have ever had for breakfasts. And lovely views over the River Thames. We will definitely visit again. Excellent value

Have stayed in a number of Staines area hotels recently and haven't really found anything that would draw me back before visiting here. The Swan is both very central to Staines but also nicely tucked away down a small side road. Parking is on the street outside and appeared initially to be quite limited - however there were always a... More
